Peking Duck-Topped Pie a Highlight on Tube Station's New Menu

2017-05-30 Kyle M. theBeijinger

Tube Station rolled out several new menu items for the warmer weather not long ago, and we were recently invited to stop by their breezy-yet-shaded Gongti patio and try those freshly debuted pies. We started with the duck breast and basil pesto (RMB 64 for a small, RMB 152 for a medium, and RMB 196 for a large). Its coating of juicy Peking poultry hunks made for a juicy, hearty meal that was quite satisfying, and the additional red and yellow bell pepper and mozzarella toppings certainly didn’t hurt.

However, some patrons might deem that rich and meaty option might be a bit too bulky for the summer season (we hope they keep it on the menu through the winter); so a fitting alternative for such patrons is their new seafood pizza. Priced at RMB 66, RMB 166, and RMB 216 for a small, medium, and large respectively, this pie variety featured calamari and shrimp pieces that were juicy and bouncy in texture, going well with the mozzarella and basil toppings, making for a lighter overall pie.

Those summery flavors were furthered by gooey cool new avocado milkshake, priced at RMB 38 per glass (its alternatives are yogurt or mango and passion fruit, both RMB 22). An even richer indulgence was the new marshmallow’s kiss, which is gooey and chocolaty enough to delight your inner child.

Together, these all make for a well-rounded range of new items that’ll suit the varied tastes of your group of friends the next time you drop by for some souped-up slices of pie.
