Basically Beethoven: Classical Music Open-Mic
Billed as"Beijing's only classical music open-mic night," The Bookworm invites you to bask in the glory of some of Beijing's best international classical musicians (or get up and play should you have the know-how). The event, which takes place every second Thursday of the month, will be hosted by Rob Wendt, a classical pianist who has played all over the world, from New York City to London, Munich, and Italy.

Australian stand-up comic and member of Shanghai-based comedy series Mamahuhu Andy Curtain comes to the capital for a special one-off gig at Salud. Curtain had a sell-out run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with his show
Life In China, in which he draws from comedic experiences that he has witnessed during his time here. RMB 80. 9pm. Salud

2018 Beijing Pizza Festival
You'll want to hold the carbs this week as our 2018 Beijing Pizza Festival looms large, waiting to pounce on Zhongguancun for two days and fill your eager mouths with some of the best pizza the city has to offer. There'll of course also be drinks, bands, DJs, and a bunch of live entertainment, all set in a sprawling, grassy space perfect for camping out and picnicking until you can move no more – come hungry my friends!
