Your October National Holiday Subway Timetable Cheat Sheet

If you happen to be staying in Beijing for the October holiday then you will probably be more than aware by now that getting around the city is likely to be somewhat challenging from the afternoon of Sep 30 until the 70th anniversary festivities wrap up on Oct 1. Many roads will be off limits to vehicles and pedestrians, especially in the center of the city.
But what if you're more of the public transport type? Well, you can expect similar disruptions to subway services starting on Sep 29, with some station closures extending through to Oct 7.
Below is our handy guide to all of the subway station closures and changes.
From 6pm onwards, Qianmen 前门 (Exit A) will be closed.
1. From 6:30am - 12pm, the following stations will be closed: Tiananmen East 天安门东 (Line 1), Tiananmen West 天安门西 (Line 1), Qianmen 前门 (Line 2), and Wangfujing 王府井 Exit C (Line 1).
2. From 6pm onwards, Dawanglu 大望路 (Line 14) will be closed.

The last train will depart at 8pm for Line 1 (Pingguoyuan 苹果园 from the west
and Sihui East 四惠东 from the east); after the last train of Line 1 has
departed, all transfer stations with other lines it will pass will close
(Line 2: Fuxingmen 复兴门 and Jianguomen 建国门; Line 4-Daxing: Xidan 西单; Line 5:
Dongdan 东单; Line 9: Military Museum 军事博物馆站; Line 10: Guomao 国贸 and Gongzhufen 公主坟;
and Batong Line: Sihui 四惠 and Sihui East 四惠东).

From 8pm onwards, the following stations will be closed: Tiananmen East 天安门东
(Line 1), Tiananmen West 天安门西 (Line 1), and Qianmen 前门 (Line 2).

From 8:30pm onwards, the following stations will be closed: Line 2:
Xuanwumen 宣武门, Changchunjie 长椿街, Fuchengmen 阜成门, Gongzhufen 公主坟, Dongsishitiao 东四十条; Line
4-Daxing: Xuanwumen 宣武门 and Pinganli 平安里; Lint 5: Zhangzizhonglu 张自忠路; Line 6:
Chegongzhuang 车公庄, Pinganli 平安里, Beihai North 北海北, Nanluoguxiang 南锣鼓巷, and Jintailu 金台路; Line
8: Nanluoguxiang 南锣鼓巷; Line 10: Tuanjiehu 团结湖; and Line 14: Jintailu 金台路 and
Chaoyang Park 朝阳公园.
6. From 9:30pm onwards, the following stations will be closed: Line 2: Hepingmen 和平门, Chongwenmen 崇文门, Beijing Railway 北京站 (Exits A and B); and Line 5: Chongwenmen 崇文门 (Exits E and F).

The following stations will be closed ALL day: Line 2: Fuxingmen 复兴门,
Changchunjie 长椿街, Xuanwumen 宣武门, Hepingmen 和平门, Qianmen 前门, Chongwenmen 崇文门, and
Jianguomen 建国门; Line 4-Daxing: Lingjing Hutong 灵境胡同, Xidan 西单, Xuanwumen 宣武门, and
Caishikou 菜市口; Line 5: Dongdan 东单 and Chongwenmen 崇文门; Line 7: Caishikou 菜市口; Line 9:
Military Museum 军事博物馆站; Line 10: Guomao 国贸 and Gongzhufen 公主坟; Line 14:
Dawanglu 大望路; and Batong Line: Sihui 四惠 and Sihui East 四惠东.

The following stations will be closed until 5pm: Line 5: Huixinxijie
Beikou 惠新西街北口, Dongsi 东四, and Songjiazhuang 宋家庄; and Line 6: Haojiafu 郝家府 and Dongsi 东四.

The following stations will be closed until 3pm: Line 2: Fuchengmen 阜成门,
Chegongzhuang 车公庄, Xizhimen 西直门, Jishuitan 吉水谈, Yonghegong Lama Temple 雍和宫, and
Dongsishitiao 东四十条; Line 4-Daxing: Yuanmingyuan (Old Summer Palace, 圆明园), East
Gate of Peking University 北京大学东门, Renmin University 人民大学, National Library 国家图书馆站,
Xizhimen 西直门, Pinganli 平安里, Taoranting 陶然亭, Gongyixiqiao 公益西桥, and Yihezhuang 义和庄; Line 5:
Zhangzizhonglu 张自忠路 and Yonghegong Lama Temple 雍和宫; Line 6: Cishousi 慈寿寺,
Chegongzhuang 车公庄, Pinganli 平安里, Beihai North 北海北, Nanluoguxiang 南锣鼓巷, and Jintailu 金台路; Line
7: Jiulongshan 九龙山; Lin 8: Nanluoguxiang 南锣鼓巷 and National Art Museum of China 中国美术馆站;
Line 9: National Library 国家图书馆站; Line 10: Tuanjiehu 团结湖; Line 14: Beigongxi Damen 北工西大门,
Jiulongshan 九龙山, Jintailu 金台路, and Chaoyang Park 朝阳公园; and Batong Line: Communication
University of China 传媒大学站.
5. Beijing Railway Station 北京站 (Line 2) will be closed until 4pm.
6. The following stations will be closed from 4pm onwards: Line 7: Hufangqiao 虎坊桥 and Zhushikou 珠市口; and Line 8: Zhushikou 珠市口 and Tianqiao 天桥.
7. The whole of Line 5 will be open from 11am (except for the stations stated closed above).
8. The whole of Line 2 will be open from 9am (except for the stations stated closed above).
9. The whole of Line 2 and Batong Line will be open from 8am (except for the stations stated closed above).
10. From 10-11pm, Songjiazhuang 宋家庄 (Line 5) will be closed.
11. From 9-11:30pm, the following stations of Lin 4-Daxing will be closed: Xinjiekou 新街口, Weigongcun 魏公村, and Renmin University 人民大学.

Line 4-Daxing will start operations from 7am, however, Anheqiao North 安河桥北
to Taoranting 陶然亭 will be closed; then from 7-11am, Renmin University 人民大学 to
Taoranting 陶然亭 will be closed; and from 11am-2pm, Anheqiao North 安河桥北 to
Gongyixiqiao 公益西桥 will be closed. Normal operations will resume from 2pm
onwards.
13. Line 14 will be open from 7am, however, Beijing South Railway 北京南站 to Cuigezhuang 崔各庄 will be closed; as well as all the other stations stated as closed per above.
The following stations will be closed ALL day: Line 1: Wangfujing 王府井, Tiananmen East 天安门东, and Tiananmen West 天安门西; and Line 2: Hepingmen 和平门 and Qianmen 前门.
Line 8 will extend the last train to 30 minutes later. However, the Olympic Sports Center 奥体中心站 will be closed from 5pm.
