These Are the Beijing Clubs That Have Reopened

It seems like it has been forever since we last went clubbing, indulging in the hollow decadence of Gongti Xilu or the messy charm of the Temple/Dada courtyard. After the announcement back in January that Beijing's clubs would be forced to close throughout the pandemic, many of us caught up on some serious sleep while the city was devoid of its late-night vibrance.
But if you've been to Gongti recently you'll notice that the shiny supercars, trendy clubbers, and street food vendors are slowly making their way back to the area and the people are ready to blow off some steam. How that stands to change with reports this week of Beijing's first infection in close to two months is yet to be seen but it appears that the momentum of opening up will not easily be stopped.
Of course, entering most of the clubs that have managed to open comes with its own set of idiosyncratic restrictions. For example, a clean Health Kit and temperature checks are still a must, while others will require a legitimate phone number. There are also strict regulations on the number of people allowed to enter most venues as well as disinfection protocols. Some, like Playhouse and Wigwam require clubbers to make a booking via their official WeChat channels prior to entering.

And while it’s nearly impossible to achieve social distancing in a club, it pays to play it safe and take precautions when possible (maybe cut down on sharing drinks for now) so that you can better protect your safety as well as the clubbers and club workers around you.
With that in mind, here is the list of clubs that are now open as well as those we're still waiting to welcome back. Add their official WeChat account IDs (in parentheses) for more information about lineups, opening hours, and restrictions:
Lantern (Lantern-club) Wigwam (wigwamparty) Destination (beijingdestination) Playhouse (PH北京) MTA (mtaspace)
Dada (dadabarbeijing)
Elements (爱乐ELEMENTS)
1/3 (onethirdofficial)
Vics (VicsClub)
