1. The Freelancer
The freelancer can often be found in a coffee shop focused on their work and quaffing cups of Americano. They are usually good conversationalists, thrive on hearty discussions, and can give their dates all the attention in the world… until the next date. They can be afraid of commitment or eager to move on to different dates. Let’s face it, they gotta hustle and once one “project” is over, they move on to the next.
2. The I-Didn’t-Train-For-This-Shit Dater
This dater had a better relationship back home and is now dating whoever until they sort their life out. We all know this expat: it’s the one who tells you about their awesome job or degree back home that is miles from their current occupation. They may talk about their ex, in the same way, so be careful of this one. Sharing is one thing, but banging on about an ex on a first date could be a red flag. They could also just be just filling time and wasting yours.
3. The Career Butterfly
The Career Butterfly will literally date anyone all for the sake of experience. This dater is open and curious and can be very fun! They are usually open to giving people a chance and are well-adjusted and pretty chill about situations in their love life. Don’t be too upset if they are seeing someone else the next week. I’m sure they had fun with you, it's just that now they want some fun with someone else.
4. The Steady Worker
The steady worker will stay in the relationship just because it’s safe and there's no drama. Ugh, these people. Sometimes it’s hard to end a shitty relationship because there is a lot of fear of the unknown when it comes to taking the step to be single again. The steady worker may convince themselves that they are happy enough and will be pretty lackluster in other areas of their lives. If you’re this person, wake up!
5. The Entrepreneur
This dater is good at juggling several people at a time. They usually love exploring new opportunities and only invest more time and energy when they see a high return for their investment. If the entrepreneur is especially industrious, they may be looking to collaborate with several different daters and work towards a merger. If you find yourself in the board room banging out a new trade deal, make sure you get shafted in the right way!

6. The Shift Worker
The shift worker is usually found in a bar after 6pm and is definitely looking to hook up. Activity dates that don’t involve drinking are pointless to them. They are not looking to advance their career into a relationship, as that would be too much responsibility. Could be fun, but that’s all it will be.
7. The Long-Term Goal Dater
This dater is someone here to stay and is looking to build something with someone. They are someone you’ll want to see again. They will be punctual and eager to put their experience and knowledge to good use – definitely partner material.
8. The Specialist
This dater is into some sort of kink (or many). These people have a high sex drive and like to tell you about it. These people can be loads of fun and could help you explore areas of yourself that you never knew existed. Just remember the safe word when you’ve had enough.
9. The Shift-Coverer
This dater is always reliable – you can count on them to be there for you no matter what. This dater will always message you back and is keen to meet for any sort of date. This dater may fall into the “friends with benefits” category.
10. The Delivery Service Dater
This dater is not keen on social events, but they are keen to bring their sex junk straight to your door! One dick in a box coming up, pussy on a platter for one please, oh, and a side of fries and a coke. These daters are golden – who doesn’t love to eat in?
11. The Go-Getter
Now this person is keen as mustard to rise to the top. They are hard-working and eager to be promoted to boyfriend/girlfriend status. Sometimes they can come across too strong and they may say or do things that could scare you away, but move past that and you might find yourself with someone who could treat you right.12. Happy-To-Be-Of-Service Intern
This dater is an intern looking to learn more. This dater is super chill with no drama and is usually pretty mature when it comes to calling it off. The intern is just happy to be dating and will do it until they are ready to level up. Gaining experience and confidence isn’t a bad thing – this dater is on their own journey. Walk with them a little and you may have fun!13. The Unemployed
This is a cheap AF date who wants to feed you free supermarket samples. We’ve all gone through rough patches, and now during these coronavirus days, a lot of people are losing their jobs. Be kind. That being said, some people are just cheap and will not like paying for things. Money is a touchy subject for them and they may feel entitled to be paid for if they see you as more financially buoyant.
