6 Days of Xmas: Win a Staycation at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing
6 Days of Xmas
There’s something special about
a staycation. Even if you’re only a few miles away from home, those
plush bed sheets just feel that little bit more comfortable knowing
you're not going to have to make the bed the next morning. And that
counts for double when you're in the luxurious environs of a property
like Four Seasons Hotel Beijing.
Imagine trading in your
apartment for a stay in one of the Four Seasons' finest rooms, followed
by breakfast for two the next morning. You could relax by the sun-lit
pool, treat yourself to a massage at the spa, or dine at one of their
two Michelin-starred restaurants. And all you have to do is leave a
comment at the bottom of this post (more details below).
The
hotel is located right on the banks of the Liangma River (which was
recently named one of Beijing's top wanghong spots), putting you within
easy walking distance of Solana and Chaoyang Park for a spot of shopping
or winter exercise. Guest rooms are arranged around a dramatic
20-storey indoor atrium, home to a wall of 400 stainless-steel
butterflies stretching up to the sky.
Even better, for those
missing the feeling of Christmas back in their home countries (which we
imagine is most of us this season), the Four Seasons has really
committed to their holiday decorations, from the three metre-long real
gingerbread house in the lobby to the massive tree decked out in red
and gold taking pride of place in Opus Lounge.
That Christmas
tree will be the perfect place for a festive photo op after you've
enjoyed a brunch featuring classic roast turkey and other Christmas
essentials (RMB 688 per person, RMB 344 for kids aged 6-12), plus
Christmas-themed sweet treats that all the family will love.
Alternatively, indulge in an authentic Italian dining experience at Mio,
where chef Marco Arlotti has created menus of modern Christmas dishes,
including a six-course Christmas Eve feast (RMB 1,388) featuring dishes like Alaskan king crab with Oscietra caviar, foie gras terrine,
and traditional Italian Christmas tortellini. Fancy a more casual taste
of Christmas? Try the Christmas-themed afternoon tea in Opus Lounge (RMB 268) including adorable little Christmassy cakes, as well as a glass of mulled wine.
For
families, Four Seasons offers that elusive "good for both kids and
adults" experience. Keep the kids occupied with a series of hands-on
activities like gingerbread decorating or pizza making (RMB 280 or
complementary for families staying in suites) so that you can enjoy a
spa treatment or maybe even a glass of champagne at Opus Bar. Make it a
proper treat with a staycation in the Terrace Suite (RMB 7,888 per
night), which includes complimentary Christmas decorations and festive
in-room amenities, access to the executive lounge, and breakfast at Opus
Lounge for two adults and two children.
