TaikooLi Hulu Closes This Oct. End of an Era!
Four years ago in February of 2018 Hulu opened its doors in Sanlitun's Taikooli. At the time, Hulu was the newest addition to the TRB Hospitality Group and the newest brainchild of Beijing restauranteur Ignace Lecleir. When it first opened, many dubbed it TRB on a budget since Hulu had a very modern TRB vibe and offered the same quality service.
Clearly, Lecleir's vision worked because within a few short years Hulu opened up two more locations: one near the Western Academy of Beijing for the Shunyi community, and one in Indigo Mall for those living in Lido, and multiple Peach by Hulu locations around town that offer casual bites with items that can be seen on the Hulu menu.
The Sanlitun Hulu location will be gone sometime in October, but from now until the day the doors close, they’re offering an extremely generous deal for Hulu fans.

I’m sure some of you, like myself, have all celebrated all kinds of events at Hulu Taikooli over the years. From enjoying a simple happy hour after work to farewell parties that ended in nights we don’t remember. Hulu has been serving the Beijing community and bettering our lives for years.
Let’s take a look at some of the fun things that’s taken place at the Taikooli Hulu over the years.
Remember their annual Halloween menu? The spooktacular dishes always put a smile on Halloween enthusiasts' faces.
In September of 2019 Hulu hosted a very interesting blindfolded tasting. Why blindfolded? To give the guests a taste of what it’s like to be blind. That year, Chi Fan for Charity donated to Bethal China, an origination to aid those are visually impaired. Through the efforts of the organizers and restaurants all over Beijing, that one evening helped raise RMB 464,800 for Bethal!
Remember when Hulu suddenly started giving out fortune cookies at the end of meals? What a nostalgic throwback for the American guests!
In May of 2018 Hulu Taikooli generously sponsored a fabulous table in support of the annual Dining for Diversity dinner where the money raised for the night went to the Beijing LGBT Center.
On a hot and sunny day in June of 2018 Hulu partnered up with Mil Gin for a summer vibe launch party that introduced the brand to Beijing.
