Air China to Resume Flights to Auckland in May
Air China is preparing a return to New Zealand, with passenger services between Beijing and Auckland to kick off from May 2, reports Simple Flying.
The carrier will operate four flights per week between Beijing Capital and Auckland Airport, with flight CA783 departing Beijing Capital at 12.55am and arriving in Auckland at 5.30pm and flight CA784 departing Auckland at 7.30pm and arriving at Beijing Capital at 4.30am the next day. Flights are scheduled weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
AirAsia X Opens Flights Between Malaysia and Beijing
AirAsia X has opened flights between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing as of Mar 30, with plans to open a route between Beijing and Kota Kinabalu, a city on the island of Borneo, this July, according to Travel News Asia and Economy Traveller.
Currently, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing are happening on Thursdays and Saturdays, which sees flight D7342 depart Kuala Lumpur at 6.40pm and arrive at Beijing Daxing at 1.05am the next day. Flights in the opposite direction, on the other hand – happening on Fridays and Sundays – see flight D7343 depart Beijing Daxing at 2.15am and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 8.30am. AirAsia X intends to expand flight times come July this year.

Air China to Increase Beijing-Gatwick Flights
Following Air China opening flights between London Gatwick Airport (LGW) and Beijing Capital International as of Apr 1, the Chinese carrier is slated to increase these flights from their current five days a week schedule – Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays – to daily as of Apr 24, according to Business Traveller.
The current flight schedule for the Gatwick-Beijing route is flight CA 851, which departs Beijing Capital at 2.35am and arrives at Gatwick at 6.55am; and CA 852, which departs Gatwick at 12.55pm and arrives at Beijing Capital at 5.15am the next day.
