杜梦堂夏日展览 | 丹尼尔·达维欧(Daniel Daviau)大型雕塑作品展目前正在上海虹桥天地展出，共带来5件等比例的大型动物雕塑作品，包括《长颈鹿》，《加拿大驼鹿》，以及以系列形式展出的《河马》、《巴纳比》和《小河马》。
Galerie DUMONTEIL Summer Exhibition | Daniel Daviau - Monumental Sculptures is currently on view at THE HUB (688 Shenchang Road), featuring 5 life-size monumental sculptures — the Giraffe, the Canadian Moose, and the Hippo series of Hippopotamus, Barnaby and the Young Hippopotamus.

“河马爸爸”是最先被创作出来的，作品迅速受到了认可，并在中国，法国和美国被纳入收藏。
创作“河马妻子”的想法随即产生，但丹尼尔·达维欧想要表现动物在自然环境中的生活状态。对于河马来说，在水中生活是其生命的重要组成部分，所以“夫人”是在水中游泳的状态。
非常自然地，同时为了推广家庭生活的概念，艺术家在河马父母身边添加了年幼的小河马。三件作品的共同展示充满了安稳的幸福感，也强调了家庭是所有社区的基础单元。
The father was created first, and it became an immediate success and has been collected in China, France, and the USA.
The idea of his wife appear soon but Daniel Daviau wanted to give an impression of the animal in its natural environment. For hippos, being in the water is an important part of its life, which is why “madam” is half in water, swimming.
In a very natural way, and to promote the idea of family life, Daniel Daviau add the young hippo beside his parents.

艺术家希望能创作一件在许多国家都具有象征意义的动物雕塑，而《麋鹿》因为其生活方式和壮丽的外观，符合这种形象。它同时也是与许多人类美德相关的重要物种。这件作品曾于2015年的“法国五月”在香港皇后像广场展出。
The artist was thinking to sculpt an animal with a strong symbolism in many countries and the moose fits the profile because of his way of life and his magnificence. It is also an important species associated with many human virtues. This cast has also been exhibited at the Statue Square in Hong Kong during "Le French May" 2015.

如此优雅，长颈鹿是丹尼尔·达维欧创作的最精美的作品之一。作品有不同尺寸的版本，但等比例大小的这件绝对是最壮观的。
So elegant, the Giraffe is one of the most delicate artworks created by Daniel Daviau. The work exists in varied dimensions, but this life-size one is definitely the most spectacular.
