The father was created first, and it became an immediate success and has been collected in China, France, and the USA. The idea of his wife appear soon but Daniel Daviau wanted to give an impression of the animal in its natural environment. For hippos, being in the water is an important part of its life, which is why “madam” is half in water, swimming. In a very natural way, and to promote the idea of family life, Daniel Daviau add the young hippo beside his parents. Canadian Moose
The artist was thinking to sculpt an animal with a strong symbolism in many countries and the moose fits the profile because of his way of life and his magnificence. It is also an important species associated with many human virtues. This cast has also been exhibited at the Statue Square in Hong Kong during "Le French May" 2015.
So elegant, the Giraffe is one of the most delicate artworks created by Daniel Daviau. The work exists in varied dimensions, but this life-size one is definitely the most spectacular.

Born in Sarlat in 1962, Daniel DAVIAU lives and works in Paris. He grew up in the heart of Périgord where he spent his childhood surrounded by nature and cultivated his love for animals.
Having studied sculpture and worked with wood, he decided that bronze would be the chosen material through which he would convey his artistic message, first representing endangered species. By portraying all the animals from the humblest to the proudest, he transfixes them in time and gives them eternal life.

Animals have always been an important theme in the history of art — from the vivid single-line depictions of prehistoric Lascaux caves, to the subjective imageries of animals in medieval era, and to the groundbreaking animal-oriented creation during the Renaissance. In the 20th century, the outbreak of war revealed the brutality and cruelty of human beings. Artists further broke the tradition and began to portray the sensitivity and fragility of animals, contrasting the “humanity” of animals with the "bestiality" of humans.

On the basis of his predecessors, Daniel Daviau used the "patina" technique to deeply depict different animal individuals, and displayed their unique personality in a witty manner. The outline of his work is strong and clear, and at the same time is full of mild and childlike atmosphere, watching you with its determined eternity and calmness.

Tess Dumon uses a large-scale metal mesh sculpture with a visually stunning effect. The aluminum wire and stainless steel mesh used in the work perfectly reflect all incident light, making the animal look like a ghost floating in the air. The glittering fantasy effect is in sharp contrast with its dramatic meaning and rough and sharp hand-made materials. Tess Dumon's artwork revolves around love and pain, triggering the hidden and profound common human emotions.

Although the starting point for the creations by the two artists is from their own artistic pursuit and inner experience, in the context of the current era, it has also aroused our attention to ecological balance.

Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Shanghai Symphony Orchestra is one of the earliest and best-known orchestral ensemble of its kind in Asia, through which Chinese symphonic music has developed. Originally known as the Shanghai Public Band, it was renamed the Shanghai Municipal Orchestra in 1922. Notably under the baton of the Italian conductor Mario Paci, the orchestra promoted Western music and trained Chinese young talents very early on in China, and was the first to introduce the first Chinese orchestral music to the audiences, hence known as the "the best in the Far East".
