【不离】法王如意宝：为了追求美丽的异性，无数人付出惨痛代价
都是分别念惹的祸
All Miseries Begin with the Discriminating Mind
事实上，外境中并不存在绝对的好或绝对的坏。
In truth, neither absolute good nor absolute bad exists in external objects.
其实，世间一切的本性皆是无常、空性，没有一法是值得信赖的。
The nature of everything in the world is impermanent and empty; there is no phenomenon that is worthy of our trust or reliance.
然而，凡夫人以虚妄的分别念，把外境误以为实有，
However, because of the deluded discriminating mind, ordinary beings mistakenly believe that external objects truly exist,
将不净视为清净、痛苦当作安乐、无常执为常有，
see the impure as pure, view suffering as happiness, and cling to the impermanent as permanent,
就这样将自心捆缚了，并做出种种颠倒的行为。
and thus they fetter their own minds and act in myriad misguided ways.
比如，为了追求美丽的女子，无数人付出了惨痛代价，
For instance, so many people have paid a bitter price just to pursue a beautiful woman.
但这有什么必要呢？
But what for?
分别念给我们带来的是无穷祸患，骗我们做了许多毫无意义的事情。
The discriminating mind brings us endless misfortune and fools us into doing many utterly meaningless things.
对此，我们每个人务必要及早认清，并运用佛法的智慧将其铲除。
Each of us must recognize this as soon as possible and then use the wisdom of Buddhadharma to uproot it.
要知道，一切颠倒分别念都像纸糊的屠刀，
We need to understand that all confused discriminating thoughts are like a butcher’s knife made of paper.
认识了它的本性，这把假屠刀就无法再伤害我们。
If we recognize its true nature, this fake knife can no longer harm us.
否则，始终随着分别念而转，
If we do not, we will continue to drift with the discriminating mind.
哪怕我们拥有的东西再多，也始终拥有不了快乐。
No matter how much we possess, we will never have happiness.
