26 Tourists Killed After Taiwan Bus Bursts into Flames
At least 26 people were killed this afternoon after a tour bus in Taiwan crashed into a guardrail.
QQ News reports that 24 of the passengers on board were from Liaoning province, and that they were part of a tour group that arrived in Taiwan on July 12. The bus was on its way to the Taoyuan Airport departure hall. The victims ranged in age from 12 to 73 years old.
The accident happened at around 1pm this afternoon when the driver accidentally hit a guardrail on the side of the road. The bus immediately burst into flames after the collision, and none of the passengers were able to escape. It took rescue workers nearly 20 minutes to extinguish the fire.
