Are you from the Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, or Anhui area, speak intermediate Chinese and plan to get married within the next 4 months? China’s adaption of the hit British TV series Don’t Tell the Bride might want you!

Don’t Tell The Bride is a docu-style reality TV show in which a couple is given an amount of money to organize their wedding in a short amount of time; the only catch is the groom must arrange everything from the venue to the stag (bachelor) parties and even the dress, while having no contact with the bride until the moment she walks down the aisle.

In the Chinese version, produced by IPCN, the groom will be given RMB200,000 and 10 days (spread over two weeks) to create their wedding. The groom will have the freedom to spend the money in whatever way he wants; production does not plan anything for him.

Season one casting is already under way and will continue through March. Foreign applicants welcome.

To apply, scan the QR code and add the DTTB Wechat account, email dttb.2016@ipcn.co.uk or call the DTTB 400 hotline. Fill in the application form. If your application passes the basic criteria, directors will ask the groom to film short, creative smart phone videos of the couple.
