何时开始上课？如果人在境外、暂时无法返华如何上课？
When will the courses start? I am currently outside of China, and cannot return to China immediately. How can I take the courses?
A
9月8日老生开始上课，关于上课的具体形式、课程安排等相关问题，请与学院联络。
根据学校教学工作的统一要求和安排，学院为无法正常返校的学生提供线上直播课程（或者线下录播课程）。具体课程安排请与学院的教务老师沟通。
The current students will start taking classes since September 8th. Please consult the schools for details about the form and arrangement of the courses.
According to academic requirement and arrangement, each school should provide online courses (or the course video) for the students. Please contact the school secretaries for specific course schedule.

暂时无法返华的老生如何进行注册？
How do I register if I cannot come back to China now?
A
无法在规定时间返校的同学，请与学院联系办理请假手续；如在境外无法缴纳学费，请填写暂缓缴纳学费申请表（请到留学生办公室网站自行下载）并提交所在学院。申请请假和暂缓缴费的截止时间为9月10日。
请假和申请缓缴学费的学生，由学院协助完成学籍注册。
If you cannot come back to RUC within required time, please contact the school to ask for absence. If you cannot pay for the tuition, please fill out the Application Form for Late Tuition Payment for International Students (please download the from at: http://iso.ruc.edu.cn/) ,and send the form to the school. The deadline for asking for absence and late tuition payment is September 10th ，2020.

暂时无法返华的老生在线上无法缴纳学费，怎么办？
I cannot go back to China now and cannot pay for the tuition online. What shall I do?
A
可以向学院申请暂缓缴费，说明缓缴原因和实际情况，待可以缴费时及时补缴欠款。暂缓缴纳学费申请表可以在留学生办公室网站的下载专区下载。如委托中国境内的朋友汇款，境内学费汇款信息如下：
You can apply with the school for late tuition payment. The tuition should be paid as soon as possible when you come back to China. The Application Form for Late Tuition Payment for International Students can be downloaded at: http://iso.ruc.edu.cn/
If you entrust your friends in China to pay for the tuition via wire transfer, the bank information is as below:

以上汇款信息仅限在中国境内进行人民币汇款缴纳学费。汇款时请务必注明学号、姓名、学院，以便学校确认款项归属。请妥善保留汇款回执，以便查询确认缴费情况。
The remit information is only for using RMB for transferring in China. Please write down the student ID, name and school to confirm the tuition for the remittance. Make sure you keep the receipt to confirm the tuition payment.

暂时无法返华的老生现在可以申请签证回中国吗？
I am currently outside of China. Can I apply for the visa to come back to China?
A
目前在境外的老生可向中国驻当地的使领馆咨询签证的相关政策。如中国驻当地使领馆已经发布了官方通知，学生可将相关签证政策截图及本人信息（姓名、学号、国籍、邮寄信息等）发至留学生办公室邮箱（iso@ruc.edu.cn）。留办核实后，将为同学申请来华签证提供相关文件协助。
Please keep up with the latest information from your local Chinese Embassy and Consulate. If you can apply for the student visa to come back to China, please take a screenshot of the notice from the website of Chinese Embassy and Consulate, and send an email to iso@ruc.edu.cn with your personal information including your name, students ID number, nationality and mailing address. ISO will provide assistance to you to apply for the visa.

目前在中国境内的老生，签证快到期了，但还没到规定返校的时间，怎么申请延长居留许可？
I am currently in China. My visa will be expired soon. Before the required time to be back to campus, how can I extend my Residence Permit?
A
目前在中国境内的老生请参照留办发布的“关于居留许可的延期”的通知申请延期。
Please check the notice of About the Extension of Residence Permit for Students Currently in China from International Students Office website or official WeChat account.

在校内有宿舍床位的老生怎么处理宿舍相关事宜？如果没有床位，是否可以预订校内宿舍？
I have dorm on campus. How can I deal with the housing? If I don’t have a dorm on campus, how can I reserve the dorm on campus?

目前不能返校上课的老生，学费能否减免？
I cannot come back to China for on-site teaching. Can RUC waive my tuition?
A
根据学校的政策，线上学习学费正常缴纳，不予减免。
According to the university policy, RUC will provide online courses and offline courses. Full tuition should be paid as usual.
