2020中国零售行业企业供应链研究报告:聚焦疫后行业方向 助力企业转型前行

本次《2020中国零售行业企业供应链研究报告》由中国连锁经营协会(CCFA)与普华永道中国可持续战略与运营团队联合发布。

2020年,受新冠疫情影响,我国社会消费品零售总额为391,981亿元,较2019年下降3.9%,消费总额在保持基本稳定的同时,与美国的差距进一步缩小。纵观2020全年,我国零售消费市场呈现线上消费增速放缓,线下消费整体回暖的趋势,且行业集中度进一步提高(零售百强企业销售规模占社会消费品零售总额的比重提升)。短期来看,新冠疫情给零售行业个别业态造成的损失较大,但长期不影响零售行业的整体增长趋势。


值此后疫情时代,本次调研共收集了来自32家在中国内地市场经营的头部零售企业和品牌商企业的供应链运营相关数据。通过历史对比发现,受到疫情影响,2020年多项供应链运营指标(订单履行率、库存周转天数、缺货率、仓储物流成本等)相较2019年都有不同程度的倒退。通过与美国零售企业的横向对比发现,美国零售企业受疫情影响更大(运营指标倒退更为严重)。同时,我们看到国内的零售企业和品牌商企业正积极尝试在经营战略、运营模式、品类策略和科技上做出改变和创新,来减低疫情和国际贸易的不确定性等带来的对业务和供应链的冲击,比如零售企业和品牌商企业,都充分重视受疫情影响下供应链的不确定性,希望进一步加强需求和供给端的预测能力。此外,本报告还新辟供应链领导力调研专题和供应链下沉专题。


专题调研显示,国内零售企业及品牌商企业正在响应5G时代的转变,积极打造数字化布局,以建设更高效的供应链运营网络;在内循环政策导向、居民收入水平提升和结构优化的多重影响下,国内零售企业的供应链下沉趋势明显,冷链、物流等基础设施建设是进一步下沉的关键,并且随着渠道的不断下沉与裂变,保证供应服务水平,提升订单满足率是供应链的重中之重。

2020 Supply Chain Study of China’s Retail Enterprises

 

It is an honour that PwC China's Sustainability Value Chain team and China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA) published the "2020 Supply Chain Study of China’s Retail Enterprises" together. PwC Sustainability Value Chain is committed to assisting domestic and international retail enterprises to build sustainable strategy and ecosystem and to enhance competitiveness in the fierce market.


In 2020, affected by COVID-19, China's total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 39,198.1 billion, down 3.9% from 2019, with the total consumption remaining stable and further narrowing the gap with the United States. Throughout 2020, China's retail consumption market showed a slowdown in online but an overall recovery in offline consumption, with a move towards to higher concentration to top players. In short term, COVID-19 has caused significant damage to selective sectors of the retail industry, but will not affect the long-lasting growth in long term.


32 leading retailers and brand manufacturers operating in China market participated in this study and provided their supply chain KPI data. Historical comparison shows nearly all supply chain KPIs (like order fulfilment rate, inventory turnover days, out-of-stock rate, D&L costs, etc.) had regressed in various degrees in 2020 compared to 2019 due to the impact of COVID-19. The comparison also shows the US retailers were affected more severely by COVID-19 (worse in supply chain KPI).


More importantly, we see domestic retailers and brand manufacturers are actively seeking changes and innovations in their corporate strategy, operating model, product innovation and operation digitalization in purpose to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and uncertainty of international trade on their business and supply chain, for example, all retailers and brand manufacturers in this study are fully aware of the uncertainty in their supply chain and hope to strengthen their forecast capability on both demand and supply sides. The report features two additional topics - Supply Chain Leadership Survey and Supply Chain Penetration of Low-Tiered Cities and Areas.


Supply Chain Leadership Survey shows both retailers and brand manufacturers are embracing 5G era by actively deploying digitalization to build more efficient supply chain network.


The study of Supply Chain Penetration of Low-Tiered Cities and Areas shows, under influences like Domestic Circulation, the rising income level of residents and its structural change, penetration of domestic retailers (from Tier1-2 cities) to low-tiered cities and areas is obvious, where the infrastructure construction such as logistics network and cold chain are the key foundation. And enhancing service level and order fulfilment would be top priority of supply chain management along with the continuous development of sales channels in rural areas.
