Smack dab right in the middle of town, Le Lotus @ Chaptel is tucked away in the old South Korean government residence on 57 Changsheng Road. Co-designed by a team of top architects hailing from Amman Hotel, it is one of the few members of RELAIS & CHATEAUX in Zhejiang. Imagine yourself sitting in the courtyard of this shikumen style building from 1930’s and enjoying a leisurely brunch all a stone's throw away from the lake.
The brunch at the Chaptel has got a real touch of France, including dishes from the north to the south, the east and the west. The southern regions feature rich flavors with garlic, herbs, duck and mushrooms, while the northern cuisine consists of country-style dishes with fresh local produce, dairy, sausage, and seafood.

After just a quick peak of the menu, it truly took us a long time to decide what to choose and we started to worry about the size of our stomachs. The many things on offer include, but are not limited to the following: Steak Tartar, Provençal Pissaladière Tart, Egg En Cocotte, Mussels Cream Soup, Duck Confit, Foie Gras Terrine, Roasted Pork Chop, Gillardeau Oyster. Everything sounded so mouth watering.

So the deal goes from 299RMB+15%/person, and for this price you can choose one egg dish, one entrée and one main course. For someone who is really hungry, 399RMB+15%/person, can get you one more main course. And for all of those really thirsty ones, add on another 158RMB, and receive all-you-can-drink Charles de Cazanove champagne or one glass of Philipponnat Brut Royale Reserve.
