million years from today,a planet decided 2 travel away,

through the boundryless universe for a messanger's sake.

what made him leave the gate,wandering alone in the darkness to embrase the grace? maybe it was like the apple 4 Newton on that sunny day.
after burning himself with no escape,the stone from outer space,flies over the sky with great love at gaze.
people died, animal cried,only the Earth is not surprised.
What a great thing 2 see the morning sunshine.PEOPLE refresh their mind (reborn their heart), sharing pain & life, sharing faith & TIME,birds sing, babies smile.
The Song of Innocence, finally, arrives.

2022年7月9日，MARNI上海锦沧文华旗舰店开幕。旗舰店一层半位置是一个称为“陨石”的艺术家项目空间，该项目邀请本土当代艺术家不定期呈现特定场域的艺术作品。
作为首位受邀艺术家奶粉zhou亲自创作诗歌The Song of Innocence，并以此作为展览名称。奶粉zhou将“陨石”项目视为新希望的承载——传递出爱与信念的能量。如同项目介绍所述，“陨石”以全新媒材与旧物再造，代表新旧交替的再生力量，也代表着外在彼此的连结。进入其内部，亦喻示着进入了个体的内心。在向内探寻的过程中，经由着外在的折射感受与自省，最终转为坚定自我的信念。在动荡的现世，唯有向外彼此相连，向内看往内心，信任爱。
奶粉zhou的创作实践根植于对高雅艺术和通俗文化间分野的反思以及对既定美学认知的挑衅。他擅长跨文化语境下的视觉/语言转译游戏，并将流行文化中快速、直接、真诚的态度嫁接至自我表达的艺术风格之中。“The Song of Innocence”项目持续至十月。

On July 9th, 2022, the flagship store of Marni Shanghai is officially opened in JC Plaza. There is an artist project space “METEOR" in the store, which invites local contemporary artists to present artworks for specific occasions from time to time.
As the very first invited artist by MARNI, Nathan Zhou created a poem The Song of Innocence as the title and theme of the project.  Nathan Zhou sees the "METEOR" project as the delivery of new hope - the energy of love and faith.  According to the project introduction, "METEOR" represents the regenerative power of the alternation of the old and the new, and also represents the external connection between each other.  Walking into the project space means entering the personal's heart.  In the process of inward exploration, through external refraction and self-examination, it finally turns into a firm self-confidence.  In this world, we can only connect with each other outward, look inward, and trust love.
Nathan Zhou's creative practice is deeply rooted in the intersection between refined art and popular culture and his provocative stance towards the inherent aesthetic perceptions.  He is exceptionally good at visual/textual translation games in a cross-cultural context, grafting the fast, direct, and sincere pop culture attitudes onto his highly self-expressive art style.  "The Song of Innocence" project runs until October.

奶粉zhou，1980年出生于广东东莞，2004年毕业于贵州大学英语与英国文学系。现生活工作于上海。

Nathan Zhou was born in 1980 in Dongguan, Guangzhou. He graduated from Guizhou University in English Language and Literature in 2004. He currently lives and works in Shanghai.

Nathan Zhou’s work has been exhibited at Sifang Art Museum, Nanjing; chi K11 Art Space,  Guangzhou; chi K11 Art Museum, Shanghai; Power Station of Art, Shanghai; Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing; MoCA Shanghai; Shanghai Himalayas Museum and SNAP.
