声音切磋身形 | Charlotte Hug x Nunu Kong互动现场

上周三，瑞士跨媒体艺术家 Charlotte Hug 在中国美院的个展“声标——视觉声音”开幕。她将欧洲的旧作与中国的新作交织悬挂，开幕现场时在卷轴飘舞间表演独奏，人声与中提琴的乐声完美糅合，在未知的疆域中尽情游走。

5月17日，来自瑞士苏黎世的多媒体声音艺术家 Charlotte Hug 将于来自上海的编舞家Nunu Kong 合作呈现一场经首次邂逅的互动表演，两位艺术家将在声音与身形之间和两种文化背景之下的未知空间进行切磋。此次现场表演是基于双方利用两天的时间在即兴结构和特定场地内进行相互挑战和塑造的结果。

On the 17th of May, Swiss intermedia artist and composer Charlotte Hug will present with Shanghai based choreographer and performing artist Nunu Kong a live improvisational performance brought by theirvery first artistic encounter in China. The artists will navigate the Unknown spaces between dance, music, live drawing as well as the Son-Icons (sounddrawings) made in Europe and China by Charlotte. This particular livepresentation is based on a two- days site specific collaboration among their improvisationalstructures and the self-shaping forces of their interplay into unique moment.

Charlotte Hug是一位出生于瑞士的跨媒体艺术家、作曲家、即兴演奏家和音乐家。她以“软弓”演奏技巧重塑了中提琴。她独创了结合小提琴和声乐的演出，融合高昂的假音、颤栗的喉音等多达8种声乐技法。她拓宽着乐器与声乐的边界，形成了独一无二的声音语言。除了绘画频繁在国际展出之外，Charlotte的“声音绘画”也得到国际认可，并作为演唱会乐手、独奏者、编曲家、指挥家活跃在欧洲、美洲、加拿大的各大国际音乐节舞台上。同时她也是2014年瑞士文化基金会南非办公室的驻留艺术家。2017年春，Charlotte以驻地艺术家的身份，受瑞士文化基金会上海办公室支持，中国美术学院邀约首次来华。

Charlotte Hug, the Swiss-born inter-media artist and musician of the extreme is constantly pushing the boundaries of her instrument. She has reinvented viola with her “soft bow” technique. Her specialty is a blend of viola and vocals using high falsetto, vibrating glottal sounds, multiphonics and language like articulation. She seeks to develop instrumental and vocal techniques to their fullest extent, which has resulted in an unmistakable and unique tonal language. Alongside her activities as a visual artist in international exhibitions, her sound-drawings: “Son-Icons” have found global recognition. Charlotte is also fully active as a concert performer, soloist, composer & conductor of her own works at major festivals in Europe, USA & Canada. She has conducted the research residency from Pro Helvetia in South Africa in 2014.

Nunu Kong是一位长期定居上海的独立编舞家，制作人及表演艺术家。她独特的艺术表达特征来自于她多类别的实验性创作，她的作品无论从视觉纬度或是从剧作层面，都微妙地显现出与时空和错觉交织玩耍的诗意性，然而观众总能从中嗅到她天然的幽默气质。nunu的最新作品包括《倒置于空中的喇叭》（系列行为表演），她将自己倒置于不同高度的特定环境并试图把一把小号吹响，以测试她身体的可能性和对声音物理的重新评估；《对不起，没音乐》是她于365天完成的舞蹈视觉日志，即每日用不间断的一笔在6cm*6.3cm的图纸上进行一次微型的舞蹈编排，并试验编舞本事如何在不被阐释者（舞者）所承载的情况下而获得表演的可能。nunu两度获得美国Gluck艺术研究奖金，她是ACC亚洲文化协会2015年度时长6个月赴美艺术研究计划奖金的获得者，同时也是瑞士文化基金会支持于2016年瑞士驻地的艺术家。

Nunu Kong. Working as choreographer, producerand performing artist, nunu develops through her work an characteristic expression playing with time and space in poetic and illusionary dimensions in both visual and dramaturgic levels with a particular sense of humor instinctively blended into her choreography. nunu’s latest projects in 2016 including Trumpet Upside Down Dancing in Air - a series of endurance performance actions where she tests her body limitations and reassess the physics of sound by attempting to play a trumpet while suspending herself upside-down from significant heights site-specifically; But Sorry, No Music is nunu’s recent visual / journal series creating 6cm x 6.3cm drawings done daily using one uninterrupted stroke on choreographies of performance miniatures where she also experiments on how the choreography can be performed by itself in the absence of the interpreter(dancer).  nunu has rewarded twice by Gluck Art Foundation in arts andeducation, she is a former grantee of Asian Cultural Council for a 6-month art research program in U.S.A. from 2015-2016  and a supported residency artist from Pro Helvetia Shanghai, Swiss Arts Council in 2016.
