Interesting Chinese Characters 02
In Chinese, even for one character can also have several different meanings.
The simplest example is “坐zuò” . It could mean “to sit”, like “请坐 qǐngzuò (please have a seat. )”. Or “to take (a transportation)”, like “坐飞机 zuò fēijī (take an airplane)”.
We also have different characters to express the same meaning. The key is to choose the most suitable character to use, otherwise it would be awkward.
