　　腱鞘囊肿是常见的良性疾病。往往表现为皮下鼓出一个包，有时较硬，有时较软，通常没有疼痛，有时会影响美观。过去，国外的医生常拿圣经把它敲破，因此在国外有“圣经囊肿”之称。如果保守治疗无效，出现疼痛、影响美观或功能，可进行手术治疗。

腱鞘囊肿病人指南

Ganglion cysts are common condition that appear as bumps around the wrist.

　　腱鞘囊肿是常见的疾病，常发生在腕关节周围，表现为局部鼓出一个包。

Ganglion cysts usually develop through ligaments between bones in the wrist. The cysts fill with harmless fluid. 

　　腱鞘囊肿常常从腕关节骨头间的韧带上发生。腱鞘囊肿里充满了无害的液体。

A ganglion cyst may feel firm and spongy. And the cyst can glow quite large. They will not spread to other parts of your body. Ganglion cysts may come and go and may not cause symptoms. 

　　腱鞘囊肿摸上去可能比较硬，也可能比较柔软。有些腱鞘囊肿可能长得相当大。它们不会播散到身体的其它部位。腱鞘囊肿隐现不定，可能没什么症状。

However, more often the numb, cysts can cause some degree of discomfort.

　　然而，囊肿可能引起一定程度的不适，常常是麻木。

Cysts cause considerable pain and cosmetical displeasing or interfere with function can be surgically removed.

　　如果囊肿明显疼痛、影响美观、影响功能，可考虑手术切除。

Typically, the cyst is removed with standard surgery. Some surgeon prefer to do this arthroscopically.

　　一般囊肿可以通过标准的手术切除。有些医生喜欢在关节镜下进行手术。

Let's see what removal surgery is like.

　　让我们来看看切除手术是如何进行的。

An incision is made over the cyst. The tendons are carefully moved aside. The cyst and a small portion of the joint capsule from which it comes are removed. The wound is closed  and  dressings and a splint are applied.

　　在囊肿表面作一切口，小心地将肌腱牵开。将囊肿和其所发出的一小部分关节囊切除。然后关闭并包扎切口，用夹板固定。

You will wear splint for several days following surgery.

　　术后几天需要佩带夹板。

Rehabilitation exercises can help you gain movement and strength.

　　康复练习有助于恢复活动和力量。

Recovery from surgery differs from person to person, depending on the size and location of the cyst and the extent of the surgery.

　　术后恢复因人而异，取决于囊肿的大小、位置及手术的大小。

Recovery typically takes two to six weeks. In some cases, the cyst may return. However, the majority of people experience successful result.

　　恢复通常需要2~6周。有些病人囊肿会复发。然而，大部分病人恢复良好。
