2015年11月17日，联合国教科文组织在巴黎通过了《关于保护和加强博物馆与收藏及其多样性和社会作用的建议书》。在此背景下，2016年11月10-12日，首届国际博物馆高级别论坛在中国深圳召开。此次活动由联合国教科文组织、中国联合国教科文组织全国委员会、国家文物局、深圳市人民政府主办，深圳市文体旅游局、深圳市至正博物馆承办。

The 2015 UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Protection and Promotion of Museums and Collections, their Diversity and their Role in Society was formally adopted on 17 November 2015 in Paris. In this context, the inaugural meeting of High Level Forum on Museums is held in Shenzhen, China from 10 to 12 November 2016. This event is co-hosted by UNESCO, the National Commission of the People’s Republic of China for UNESCO, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China (SACH), and People’s Government of Shenzhen Municipality; and is co-organized by Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration of Shenzhen Municipality and Shenzhen Zhi Zheng Art Museum. 

10日上午开幕式期间，中华人民共和国副总理刘延东女士宣读了习近平主席贺信并致辞，联合国教科文组织文化助理总干事弗朗西斯科·班德林先生、广东省省长朱小丹先生、深圳市委书记马兴瑞先生、以及国家文物局局长刘玉珠先生均发表致辞。

This morning, at the opening ceremony of the forum, Ms. Liu Yandong, Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China, delivered the congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping, and addressed the ceremony. Mr. Francesco Bandarin, Assistant Director-General for Culture, UNESCO, Mr. Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangdong Province, Mr. Ma Xingrui, Secretary of Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee, and Mr. Liu Yuzhu, Director General of SACH, also delivered their speeches.

本次论坛邀请到包括法国卢浮宫、美国大都会博物馆、日本东京国立博物馆、大英博物馆等国际重要博物馆知名专家，中国国家博物馆、故宫博物院等国内重点博物馆专家代表，以及国际博物馆协会等文博领域专家200余人。

Over 200 national and international renowned experts are invited to the forum, consisting of representatives from world’s great museums, including the Louvre Museum, the Metropolitan Museum, the Tokyo National Museum, the British Museum, National Museum of China and the Palace Museum; and experts in the fields of Culture, including delegates from the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

在过去的40年里，全球博物馆的数量已经增加了不止一倍。博物馆不仅保证了人类共同遗产的留存，提升了社会与国家的文化生活，还充分展示了文化多样性，促进全球旅游业与地方经济发展。本次论坛讨论的议题包括：

-        新兴博物馆的创新、形态和挑战

-        战乱与和平时期的文化遗产保护

-        博物馆的责任以及从业人员的道德与技术标准

-        博物馆、收藏品及文化资产方面的公共政策发展

In the past 40 years, the number of museums across the globe has more than doubled. Not only do museums ensure the preservation of our common heritage and enhance the cultural lives of communities and countries, they also showcase cultural diversity and contribute to the development of global tourism and local economies.  The following topics will be discussed in the forum:

-        Emerging Museum Sector-Different Models, Different Challenges

-        Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage in Times of Peace and Conflict

-        Responsibilities of Museums-Ethical and Technological standards for Museums and professionals

-        Development of Public Policies concerning Museums, Collections and Cultural Property
