New International Airport Inaugurated Near Eilat
以色列南部新国际机场启用
Israel has inaugurated a new international airport that will serve Eilat, on the coast of the Red Sea, and its neighboring towns. In a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Monday, a first test flight operated by Arkia Israeli Airlines successfully landed at Ramon airport, located 12 miles north of Eilat in Timna Valley.
The construction costs of the airport, which is capable of housing 60 parked airplanes, amounted to~ $500 million. The airport can accommodate 2 million passengers a year.

Israel Post and the U.S Postal Service issued a joint stamp for Hanukkah on Tuesday, which also celebrates 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and the United States.

U.S baseball players get Israeli citizenship

Ten Jewish-American baseball players gained Israeli citizenship and can now help the country’s national team in international competition leading up to the 2020 Olympics;
They want to represent Israel at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Some of the players also represented Israel in last year’s World Baseball Classic, where Team Israel shocked followers by reaching the quarterfinals.
