Everybodyhas their own hobbies—some are fond of collecting stamps, coins, etc., somelike swimming, and there are some who like reading or music—all these are goodhobbies.
Nowadays, most teenagers are crazy about hit songs. From those songs we can learn manyphrases, which we cannot find in books. Although teenagers like those songsvery much, adults often dislike them. And they think that if teens indulge (沉迷) themselves with pop music, it willbe a waste both of time and money. Therefore, it is not considered to be a goodhobby.
Theworst hobbies of all are smoking and gambling. Smoking harms our bodies. Somemen like to smoke in public places, and they don’t care about other people’sfeelings. Gambling may make you lose everything. You may lose your temper, money and friendship. Friendship is the thing that money can’t buy. To lose afriend is easy but to build up a friendship is hard.
So,why don’t we do things that can’t hurt others and are worthwhile to us? Somegood hobbies, like stamp collecting and reading, can help us broaden ourknowledge. Music can make us happy, and sports can keep us in good physicalcondition. So why not take up the good and give up the bad?
