从「一只蜻蜓」说起
昨晚，世界杯四分之一决赛法国对阵乌拉圭的比赛正式开赛。
法国队门将雨果·洛里斯(Hugo Lloris)在网上火了，除了据说在比赛中的出色发挥，更重要的是，在比赛直播过程中一只蜻蜓钻进了他的嘴里，吸引了网友的注意。
于是，这事就上了各大新闻，网友戏称他为法国的“蜻蜓队长”。

○ 首先是「蜻蜓」怎么说？dragonfly
○ quarter-final: 四分之一决赛 (one of the four games or matches to decide the players or teams for the semi-finals of a competition)
半决赛 semifinal (one of the two games that are played to decide who will take part in the final game of a competition)
○ clash: 文中作为名词表示“比赛，竞赛；交锋，交战”(an occasion when two teams or players compete against each other)
○ assault: 文中作为动词表示“攻击，袭击”，作为名词新闻里常出现的有sexual assault表示“性侵”。

Lloris promptly spat it out before it made serious inroads, but - as ever - the incredible footage didn't escape the Twittersphere, who were quick to make jokes.

While most poked fun at Lloris for his misfortune, one suggested it means the French stopper is in for one heck of a game.
除了开玩笑，有网友还表示，这只蜻蜓可能会给法国队带来好运。
○ poke fun at sb:“取笑（某人），奚落（某人）”(to make someone seem stupid by making jokes about them or laughing unkindly)，poke 更常见的一个意思是“戳，刺，捅”(to push a finger or other pointed object quickly into someone or something)

而「a/one heck of a sth/sb」表示“令人惊讶的好人（或好事）”(a surprisingly good person or thing)，

另外，「a heck of a sth/sb」也可以用于强调“非常”…，替换 very，

The social media user claimed: "I was watching this camera shot of a dragonfly landing on the mouth of French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. There's a folklore about dragonflies. When they appear around you - you have protection from someone in heaven."
○ folklore 意思是“民间传说；民俗”(the traditional stories and culture of a group of people)
这位名为「anuradha」的网友称，民间传说当蜻蜓出现在你周围时，是因为天堂中有人在默默地保护着你，而从昨晚最终比赛结果来看，法国 2:0 淘汰乌拉圭并晋级四强，这一传说似乎也得到了“验证”。
