CBBC's Upcoming Events (August - September)
The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is looking forward to having you join us for a multitude of events taking place soon, from members-only activities and events which are open to all, to those organised by our partners and members. We are always happy to collaborate with our members on our events programme - if you are interested, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Firstly, we are delighted to invite our members to join us for our upcoming IP Roundtable with Tencent Weixin on 24th August at Tencent Weixin’s Guangzhou Office. Tencent Weixin’s legal team will take this opportunity to introduce their most up-to-date practice of third-party brand protection.
Furthermore, we would also like to draw your attention to our first session of CBBC's Executive Leadership Programme in Beijing on 22nd September. The Programme will enable senior executives from British and other multinational companies to undertake intensive study of China’s business environment, political landscape, and regulatory regime so as to equip them with the skills needed to lead an internationally orientated business from the mainland.

第三场：英国合格评定（UKCA）政策宣讲会

从2023年1月1日起，欧盟的CE认证将不再适用于英国市场。UKCA（英国合格评定，UK Conformity Assessed的简称）是英国脱欧以后，取代之前使用的欧盟CE认证标识的本国标识。2023年1月1日起，没有UKCA标识的进口产品，都须下架。
为帮助中国企业更好地理解UKCA要求标准，更顺利地申请和完成UKCA认证，英中贸易协会和江苏省商务厅将于2022年8月18日（星期四）举办第三场英国合格评定（UKCA）政策宣讲会。
会议邀请来自英国商业、能源和产业战略部的英国合格评定标志（UKCA）国际团队的Emily Spearpoint-Walsh讲解相关的规则和要求，以及企业如何使用UKCA /UKNI标识。

Is Your Data China Ready? Understanding China's New Cross Border Data Laws

On 1st September 2022, China’s new data cross-border transfer regulations will come into force with important implications for how foreign companies manage the personal data of Chinese citizens. This offline/online event will highlight the key requirements of the new regulations, breakdown by sectors and tips on compliance.
Breakfast will be provided at the King & Wood Mallesons’ London office. Mark Schaub in London will be joined by China data experts Atticus Zhao and Jerry Wang joining in via live stream from Shanghai to answer all questions.

Intelligent Transport and Future Mobility Midlands Automotive Roundtable

Join us for CBBC’s second Automotive Roundtable of 2022, which will be held on 8th September, generously hosted on Coventry University’s campus.
Following the Roundtable session in the morning, this event will include an optional site tour of the world class Connected Autonomous Vehicle Test Facility (CAV Assured Highway) at Horiba Mira, in the afternoon.
With some great speakers lined up, this roundtable will focus on recent research updates and industry best practices in intelligent transport and future mobility within the automotive industry. For those unable to attend in person, the morning session will also be live-streamed.
