Tongren University is located in Tongren city, Guizhou Province, which is known as "The Capital of Wuling · The City of Kindheartedness and Justice". The university is in the Chuandong Education Park at the foot of Fanjing Mountain and the on the bank of Jinjiang River, and the campus is beautiful, majestic and grand. It is one of the national "13th Five-Year Plan" industry-education integration development project universities, the winner of "Excellent School Award" of Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award, one of the construction colleges of the Ministry of Education's scientific working competence enhancement program, one of the pilot universities in Guizhou province to transform to application-oriented development, a national and provincial civilized unit, an educational base for national unity and progress, a demonstration benchmark university in Guizhou province for "full participation, whole process and all-round education", and a council member of the Chinese University Fisheries Science Development Association and a unit of China New Agricultural Science and Aquaculture Alliance. With a history of one hundred years, the university has trained tens of thousands of talents for the country and society, and a large number of academic elites, industry leaders, party and government officials and famous teachers have emerged here, making important contributions to the economic and social development of the country and the region.

学校办学起源于1920年创办的明德学校，几经传承演进，2006年升格为本科院校。2010年通过学士学位授予单位评估；2013年通过本科教学工作合格评估；2020年增列为硕士学位授予单位，实现了办学层次的跃升，开启了高质量发展的崭新篇章。

The university originated from the Mingde School founded in 1920, and later it upgraded to an undergraduate college in 2006. It passed the bachelor degree awarding unit assessment in 2010 and the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment in 2013. In 2020, it was added as a master degree awarding unit, achieving a leap in school-running level and opening a new chapter of high-quality development. 

学校现有在校生9011人，教职工988人，博士185人，硕士326人；正高级职称179人（二级教授1人，三级教授18人）；博士生导师1人、校内研究生导师57人，校外兼职硕导112人；“双师双能型”教师357人。国务院政府特殊津贴专家1人，省管专家5人，省政府特殊津贴专家3人。贵州省优秀青年科技人才2人，贵州省“千”层次人才18人，贵州省千人创新创业人才1人，贵州省哲学社会科学学术带头人5人，贵州省青年哲学社会科学创新人才1人，贵州省社会科学学术先锋4人；贵州省哲学社会科学十大创新团队3个、贵州省社会科学学术先锋号1个；贵州省科技厅创新人才团队1个、贵州省高校科技创新团队12个和铜仁学院基础教育创新团队、铜仁学院民族学创新团队；省级教学团队1个，贵州省民汉双语服务基地1个，贵州省民族古籍研究基地1个,省级教学管理团队1个，校级人才创新团队22个。

The university currently has a total enrollment of 9,011 students, 988 faculty and staff members, 185 doctors and 326 masters, 179 professors with senior titles (1 level-2 professor and 18 level-3 professors), 1 doctoral supervisor, 57 campus postgraduate tutors, 112 off-campus part-time master tutors, 357 "double-qualified teachers", 1 State Council special allowance expert, 5 provincial experts, 3 provincial government special allowance experts, 2 excellent young scientific and technological talents of Guizhou province, 18 "Thousand " Level Talents of Guizhou province, 1 Thousand Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talents of Guizhou province, 5 academic leaders of philosophy and social science of Guizhou province, 1 young innovative talent in philosophy and social sciences of Guizhou province, and 4 social science academic pioneers of Guizhou province. In addition, it has 3 top ten innovation teams in philosophy and social sciences of Guizhou province, 1 social science academic pioneer of Guizhou province, 1 innovative talent team of Guizhou Science and Technology Department, 12 university science and technology innovation teams of Guizhou province, as well as the Tongren University Basic Education Innovation Team and Tongren University Ethnology Innovation Team. It also has 1 provincial teaching team, 1 ethnic languages and Chinese bilingual service base, 1 national ancient books research base, 1 provincial teaching management team and 22 university-level talent innovation teams.

学校坚持国际化办学战略，积极开展国际交流合作。至今，为“一带一路”沿线国家培养高级工程技术人才和管理人才1499人次；与柬埔寨教育部、老挝琅南塔省教育厅、老挝沙湾那吉省教育厅、沙耶武里省教育厅、万象省教育厅共建“人才培养基地”；先后与美国、英国、韩国、泰国、柬埔寨、老挝、马来西亚、印度尼西亚等国（境）外79所高校和教育机构建立友好合作关系，选派学生494人次、教师121人次赴国（境）外交流访学；重点推进“一带一路”教育国际合作，围绕十大重点学科在泰国、老挝、柬埔寨国家建立海外实习实训基地达10个；建立集学术研究、人才培养、政策咨询为一体的老挝国别研究机构即“老挝研究中心”。

The university adheres to the international school-running strategy and actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation. So far, it has trained 1,499 senior engineering and technical personnel and managerial personnel for countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, and jointly built the "talent training base" with the Ministry of Education of Cambodia, the Department of Education of Luang Namtha Province, the Department of Education of Savannakhét, the Department of Education of Sayaboury and the Department of Education of Vientiane. It has also established friendly and cooperative relations with 79 universities and educational institutions in the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries, and sent 494 students and 121 teachers to study abroad. The University focuses on promoting international cooperation in education with countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative", and has set up 10 overseas internship and training bases in Thailand, Laos and Cambodia with ten key disciplines as the core. In addition, it has established the Laos Research Center, a research institution about Laos integrating academic research, personnel training and policy consultation.

一、招生对象

I.Entrance Requirements

高中毕业或具有同等学历学生，身心健康，品行良好，无犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律和学校的规章制度，尊重中国人民的风俗习惯的非中国籍公民。

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a high school diploma (or equivalent), demonstrate good health and good moral character, have no criminal record, abide by the laws of the People’s Republic of China and the regulations of Tongren University, and respect Chinese customs.

自2022年起，其申请作为国际学生进入我高等学校本专科阶段学习，除符合学校的其他报名资格外，还应持有有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至入学年度的4月30日前）之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在外国居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）。

From 2022, in addition to satisfying all application qualifications, students who apply for our three-year or four-year undergraduate courses as an international student shall hold a valid foreign passport or a nationality certificate with the remaining validity period not less than 4 years, and shall have a proof of 2-year and above actual residence in a foreign country for the last four years (as at April 30 of the year of enrollment).  (9-month actual residence in a foreign country constitutes a valid residence year depending on entry and exit stamps)

申请时请先注册个人账号，然后按照要求填写报名信息并上传申请材料。

Applicants will be required to register and create an account, fill in the application forms and upload documents as required.

2.提交纸质申请。申请资料可由本人或委托他人提交，或邮寄至铜仁学院国际合作与交流处（具体地址请见联系方式）。纸质申请材料截止时间：2022年8月30日，逾期未送达或寄达申请材料的视为自动放弃申请。

2. Paper application. Application documents may be submitted by the applicant in person or through an authorized person, or by means of mail to Tongren University Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (please refer to Contact Information for the mailing address). Paper application submission deadline: August 30, 2022. All required documents must be delivered before the deadline otherwise the application will be deemed withdrawn.

1.相关表格。填写《铜仁学院国际学生入学申请表》《铜仁学院国际学生奖学金申请表》《个人简历》（中文版、英文版），贴上本人近期照片一张，由申请者本人签字；

1. Application forms. Fill in the Application Form for International Students, Scholarship Application Form for International Students, and Resume (in both Chinese and English), and attach a recent photo of applicant. All forms must to be signed by the applicant;

2.护照复印件。普通护照个人信息页（有效日期为2022年12月30日以后），曾来过中国大陆境内的申请人还需提供近3次出入中国境内的签证页或居留许可页；

2. Copy of passport. A copy of the passport personal information page (the passport expiration date must be later than December 30, 2022). Applicants who have visited the Chinese mainland before must also provide a copy of passport pages with the last three entry and exit stamps or residence permits from China;

3.最高学历证书。须为原件或公证件，中、英文以外文本还需提供经过公正的翻译件，应届高中毕业生提交本人所在学校出具的预计毕业证明原件；

3. Highest education certificate (original or notarized copy). A notarized translation of the certificate is required if the original document is not in Chinese or English. Applicants who currently in the final year of secondary school must submit the original certificate of expected graduation issued by the school;

4.最高学历教育阶段全部课程的成绩单。须为原件或公证件，中、英文以外文本还需提供经过公正的翻译件；

4. Official academic transcripts of all courses taken during the highest education (original or notarized copy). A notarized translation of the transcripts is required if the original documents are not in Chinese or English;

5.汉语水平考试四级以上水平证书、成绩单的复印件（学历生提供）；

5. Copies of HSK Chinese Proficiency Test certificate (Level 4 or above) and score report (required for applicants to degree programs);

6.至2022年9月30日前未满18周岁的申请人，需提交监护人有效证件及保证书，监护人应为其父母委托在中国境内常住的外国人或者中国人；

6. Applicants under 18 years of age as at September 30, 2022 are required to submit a valid ID of his/her guardian and Guardianship Letter. The guardian shall be a Chinese citizen or foreign permanent resident in China authorized by the applicant's parents;

7.从中国大陆（内地）及港澳台地区移民外国并加入外国国籍的申请人，需提交入籍证明、近4年（2018年8月30日至2022年8月30日）的护照出入境记录复印件或国外实际居住2年以上的证明；

7. Applicants who have emigrated from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired a foreign nationality must submit the Certificate of Naturalization and a copy of passport pages with entry and exit stamps for the last four years (from August 30, 2018 to August 30, 2022) or proof of 2-year and above actual residence in a foreign country for the last four years;

8.外国人体格检查表（有效日期为2022年10月30日以后）；

9.无犯罪记录证明；

9. Certificate of No Criminal Conviction;

10.电子版一寸白底彩色照片（照片格式为jpg格式,宽度1-2厘米，高度2-3厘米，分辨率约为300-500像素，大小为100kb以下）；

10. An electronic copy of color photo with white background (jpg format, width of 1-2 cm, height of 2-3 cm, resolution of 300-500 ppi, size below 100 kb);

11.国际学生经济担保书；

11. Financial Sponsor Agreement for International Students;

12.如有其他可证明申请人学习能力和综合素质的材料，如获奖证书、奖状、推荐信等，申请时一并提交。

12. Other materials that demonstrate the applicant's learning ability and comprehensive qualities, such as award certificates and letters of reference, may be submitted along with the application.

备注：以上材料一律不予退还。

VI. Admission

学校根据申请材料及专业志愿综合评定，视情况面试，择优录取。申请者可在申请网站查询结果，或电话、邮件咨询我校国际合作与交流处。

The university will conduct comprehensive evaluation of each application based on the application documents and the selected program(s), select qualified applicants for interviews, and make admission decisions based on a competitive ranking process. Applicants can check the result on the application website or by contacting Tongren University Office of International Cooperation and Exchange by phone or email.

2022年9月-12月，采取线上教学方式授课；2023年3月-7月，根据疫情防控要求再议定。

On-line teaching will be adopted from September to December 2022;  and the teaching mode from March to July, 2023 is to be determined based on the pandemic prevention and control requirements.
