端午龙舟开进侨福芳草地！ Dragon Boat Race at Parkview Green FangCaoDi
经过了立夏、小满，
我们即将迎来芒种和夏季的重点
端午节！
After the solar terms of the
Beginning of Summer and
Lesser Fullness of Grain,
We are about to welcome Grain in Beard and the Summer Solstice.
With these two terms,
comes one of our most important traditions
The Dragon Boat Festival.
数千年以来中国的端午传统中，
最令人兴奋的节目就是划龙舟了！
For thousands of years in China,
the most exciting program during the
traditional Dragon Boat Festival,
is the dragon boat race.
相传诗人屈原五月节前落水，
群众纷纷划船寻找，
而后演变为竞渡之战。
不同队伍划着雕刻成
龙形的船只竞速夺标，
岸边呐喊助威，是为端阳盛事。
Legends say that the poet Qu Yuan
fell into the water before the festival,
and the crowd rowed their boats in search of him,
which eventually evolved into a race.
Different teams sat in boats carved
in the shape of the Chinese dragon to race
against each other for victory,
while supporters on shore cheer and shout.
This became a grand occasion passed down through generations
而2019年的端午节，
在现代的北京城里，
侨福芳草地竟然把龙舟开进了大楼，
不仅把亚洲最长室内吊桥摇身一变
成为盘旋在空中的“京城巨龙”，
还要在商场里面举办划龙舟！
让大家体会传统的端阳乐事！
Today,the 2019 Dragon Boat Festival,
is to be held in the modern city of Beijing,
Where the dragon boat "set sails"
into Parkview Green FangCaoDi.
Not only will the longest indoor
suspension bridge in Asia be transformed
Intoa Giant Dragon guarding over the deck,
There will be also dragon boat race held in the mall.

侨福芳草地特别邀请著名国际知名雕塑家刘若望以端午龙舟为灵感进行艺术表达，打造了一对充满童趣的中国漫画版龙舟艺术品，结合艺术创意和传统工匠手艺打造，将中国传统龙舟开进了侨福芳草地充满现代艺术设计感的建筑。
Parkview Green FangCaoDi specially invites renowned international sculptor Liu Ruowang to create a pair of Chinese cartoon-like dragon boats for this event. The dragon boats combining art creativity and traditional craftsmanship will be open to public at Parkview Green FangCaoDi, bringing a dash of Chinese culture into their modern design space

这次的艺术作品创作灵感源自中国式的漫画（或中国式卡通形象），刘若望亲自创作设计，运用中国传统的工艺雕刻和彩绘手法，精雕细琢在龙舟外体的每一片细微的鳞片，呈现了极具东方魅力的端午特别公共艺术。
Inspired by Chinese cartoons, Liu Ruowang created the dragon boats through Chinese traditional carving and coloring techniques, carefully carving every tiny scale of the dragon boat, presenting a masterpiece with oriental charm to the public.

这次的端午龙舟公共艺术于5月25日正式起航，对公众开放，你将能在LG2的公共空间近距离欣赏到。
This Giant Dragon art will officially set sail and open to public starting May 25th. You will be able to enjoy it in the public space on LG2.

不只可观赏，它还真正能下水！这对龙舟将在即将到来的三个周末(5月25、26日，6月1、2日及6月7-9日）下水变身为小朋友们的竞赛龙舟！
Not only are the boats ornamental, they are also practical! For the upcoming three weekends (May 25th & 26th, June 1st & 2nd, June 7th-9th), this giant artwork will transform into an actual dragon boat for the children’s dragon boat race on water!
比赛规则：
两艘龙舟同时从起点出发，先到达终点即获胜，获胜组每人可得鼎泰丰豆沙粽子一个。
GAME RULES：
Two Dragon Boats are to depart from the starting point simultaneously. The boat that first reaches the finishing line wins. Members of the winning team will each receive one Din Tai Fung’s delicious Red Bean Sticky rice bun (zongzi).
