We give you all the essentials in Beijing, from events to news to community connections.

Beijing No. 55 High School is a city-level key school and the first public school of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) in China, which is located in the center of Beijing, near the embassy area. Upon approval by Beijing Municipal Government in 1975, the school was opened to foreign students who are the children of the personnel from the embassy and companies in Beijing, and became the first public school that enrolled foreign students. In 1994, the International Baccalaureate Organization approved the school to become its first Chinese member. Soon, the school became widely acknowledged as one of the most exemplary schools in the Asian-Pacific region.

Since opening to the outside world, thousands of foreign students have gone on to prestigious universities, including Beijing University, Tsinghua University, University of Oxford, University of London, Stanford University, University of Berkeley, New York University, to name a few. Our alumni can be found all over the world.
