Calling all skaters big and small! The winter cold doesn’t mean you need to put your favorite pastime on hold.

Located in Beijing’s Xicheng District is an indoor skate park that’s open all year round to skaters or all ages. Burning Ice Skate Park (燃烧冰滑板公园) is one of those places where you don’t need to speak the same language to make some new friends.

With three locations all over the city, Burning Ice Skate Park lets kids and grown-ups push their skills to the limit with indoor ramps, rails, walls, and everything else a skate could possibly need.

Their Xicheng location is the one our beijingkids resident skater boy Uni You recommends. It has 2,000 sqm of indoor skating space and from personal experience, Burning Ice Skate Park welcomes all ages and skill levels. The more experienced skaters are a friendly bunch and ready to show off their latest tricks and teach a few on to fellow skating enthusiasts.

For beginners, their Tongzhou location (though a bit far for most of us) and Xicheng locations offers both private and group classes for beginner skaters ages 4 and up. Each group class lasts about 1 hour and parents must purchase a minimum of 10 classes. But, if you’ve already got the basics down and are just looking for a place to have some fun, Burning Ice Skate Park charges RMB 100 per day for both kids and adults with no time limit. I would highly recommend calling skate park in advance before going. The three locations have different regulations and some will restrict weekend hours just for classes.
