Free Kids Meals & Great Grown Up Dishes at Amazing Thai

I hope I’m not alone in thinking that restaurants with similar names tend to get a bit confusing. I once had a food poisoning experience at a Lime Thai many years ago and have avoided the place since. Unfortunately for me, Amazing Thai – a completely different restaurant – got lumped in there with Lime Thai and it wasn't until recently that I realized I’ve never actually been to Amazing Thai.

Admittedly, their branding game could use some improvements. While the outside of the restaurant says Amazing Thai in big letters, the restaurant's interior, as well as its menus, say Thai Garden. As for Dianping, it's back to being called Amazing Thai.

At any rate, over the Chinese New Year holiday, I gave Thai Garden by Amazing Thai a shot and completely fell in love with the food and the caring staff. I’m always extra appreciative when wait staff anticipates the range of wandering baby hands and knows to put dishes – especially hot ones with candles – as far away as possible.

As if every restaurant in Solana isn’t already used to dealing with kids, this one is exceptionally thoughtful and, as a bonus, there’s free kids meals!

I have a 16-month-old baby who gets bored at dinner tables pretty quickly but the few times we’ve visited Amazing Thai (or Thai Garden?) over the past week she’s been mesmerized by the bartender, other customers, staff, and, much like her momma, the food.

The menu is filled with delicious curries, spicy Tom Yum soups, and never-fails-to-satisfy pineapple fried rice.

They have a super small waiting area inside and get pretty busy around mealtimes, and they also don't take reservations during holidays, so I recommend calling ahead before showing up.
