Our expat community thrives on connection, and here at Jingkids, we’re all about our readers, and what they need and want in order to maximize their time here in Beijing. Every Monday, we’re going to feature a prominent member of our expat community and get to know them a little bit better.

I am a mother of a four-year-old kid and also an environmentalist. I majored in environmental management in college and have been working in environmental protection area for several years since graduating. At present, I am an entrepreneur engaged in the publicity and promotion of pure natural cold processed handmade soap.

These days, we are all talking about leading a low-carbon life. In fact, using natural handmade soap, eliminating bottles, cans and packaging materials can also help us reduce our personal carbon footprint. I hope more and more people can say goodbye to chemical surfactants and their harmful effects on our skin to enjoy an environmentally-friendly lifestyle, starting with the little things.

What’s on your mind?

I will continue to do my work well, publicize and and promote sales of natural cold processed handmade soap. It still needs time to be recognized and accepted by more and more people.  I hope everyone can change their cognition and enjoy natural and healthy cleansing products.

What’s your motivation to get up every morning?

When we are young, try our best to accept more and do what you want to do, be curious about new things, maintain the state of lifelong learning, and do not give up yourself at anytime. If you don’t do it now, you’ll only regret it.

How do you stay sane in all the madness?

The pace of life in Beijing is very fast, I like going out to different bazaars in my spare time, and one of the greatest pleasures is to meet people from all walks of life. I can also see many interesting and unique designs with craftsman spirit behind them in the bazaar,I think they behaved extremely honorably and remind me to slow down when I feel anxious.

What’s your favorite thing about Beijing?

We have to keep learning and making continuous progress and growth in Beijing to meet its high speed development. At the same time, Beijing is a diversified and tolerant city, we can get in touch with many new things.

Have someone you believe deserves some recognition for their outstanding contributions to our community? Nominate them for our weekly spotlight by writing their name in the comments below!
