Rachel Ward,

YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten Teacher

Rachel is from North Wales in the United Kingdom and holds a BA (Hons) degree in early childhood studies from Bangor University Wales. She spent nine years teaching children in the early years in Spain. She later moved to China to work at a leading international school in Shanghai. After 13 years of working in the field of international education, from England to Spain, from Shanghai to Beijing, Rachel still has her passion and love for the early childhood education industry.

After joining YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten, Rachel continues to extend her professionalism and passion to YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten and to every child in the kindergarten. Her philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. It is her desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential.

As an expat teacher, Rachel and the Chinese teachers and assistant teachers act as collaborators, observers and creators, observing what each child likes to do, listening to what each child says, not missing each moment of growth and leading the children to see a broader future and world through the integration of multicultural backgrounds and the collision of educational ideas.

During the talk, more than 30 top Japanese kindergarten directors, school board members, and professional investors joined the discussion about the development of the global early childhood education community and the growth and future of education and children.

In addition, under Clayton's leadership and guidance, YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten has begun the process of accreditation as a CIS (Council of International Schools) member institution and may become the first CIS internationally accredited single kindergarten in China. Under Clayton's guidance, YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten has made its voice heard time and time again, and the Chinese early childhood education community continues to be "seen" by the world.
