After three years, flight BA88 resumed service from Beijing’s new Beijing Daxing International Airport to London Heathrow on June 3. After initially launching services between the two cities in November 1980, British Airways began running services between London and Beijing almost 43 years ago.

With the resumption of direct flights, there will be four weekly flights between London and Beijing, with flights leaving London on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays under flight number BA88.

Customers can now travel more easily between the UK and China with the British Airways and China Southern’s joint operations, which also offers easier transfers, a larger selection of onward flights, and many additional advantages.

For frequent travelers, they could gain greater opportunities to earn and collect points where they have more access to book through the websites or mobile apps of both airlines. This also improves their lounge access as well as access to high-quality Chinese and British goods and services both in the air and on the ground.

Daxing Airport is the departure point for the return flights to London on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The duration of the flight time from London to Beijing is about 11 hours and 24 minutes, while the return flight takes about 12 hours and 41 minutes to return to London.

Ticket prices for economy class range between RMB 5,500 RMB to RMB 9,000. The return of British Airways' direct flights between Beijing and London not only reunites the two cities after a three-year break, it also provides passengers with improved convenience and an improved travel experience.
