Labor Day is quickly approaching and we can't wait to enjoy the five-day holiday in this great weather. If you're looking to do something fun in Beijing, even before the holidays, there will be a lot of cool events happening in the next two weeks:

Taco Fest is back for its second year, coming to Tiantongyuan Culture and Arts Center from Apr 20 to Apr 21. It's time to grab your tickets, with early bird tickets on sale from today! Ticket packages are just like last year, standard and VIP, with a few new goodies up for grabs in the VIP package like new bandanas and swag featuring our Taco Fest mascot, Rong Momo the axolotl! The Bookbinder – Immersive Theatre Play for Kids and Adults

From award-winning company Trick of the Light Theatre comes a story of mystery, magic, and mayhem. The Bookbinder is an inventive one-man performance that weaves shadowplay, paper art, puppetry, and music into an original dark fairytale in the vein of Neil Gaiman.

First performed in the back room of a secondhand bookshop as part of NZ Fringe, the production has since toured across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, Canada, and the USA. You can see the performance in Beijing until Apr 21. Scan the QR code to purchase your tickets.

Hidden Wonders of the Deep Sea at OASIS

Step into a world where creativity meets conservation and education transcends the classroom. AISB-Hope's student artwork, under the guidance of Cherie Lam, is more than an expression. It's a narrative featuring themes of modern sociology and ecology. All of the pieces were created by high schoolers across grade levels.

Lam is the secondary art teacher at AISB – Hope International School. She graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and accumulated years of experience as a full-time user experience designer at various international corporations before deciding to devote her time to the field of education. She believes that the best way to shape the future is by inspiring the next generation.
