😱 World's longest cycling skyway now in trial operation!

China shocked the world once again last month by completing its first, and the world's longest, "cycling skyway." If you're free this weekend, you can now head to Xiamen and give it a spin.

The 7.6-kilometer long "skyway" runs 5 meters above the road and just below a bus rapid transit line in downtown Xiamen. This month it is in trial operation, open to all kinds of bikes from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. each day. It's targeted at decreasing traffic congestion and promoting "green" forms of transportation in the city.

Bicycles are once again becoming a more and more popular way of getting around for China's urbanites thanks to the exploding popularity of a few bike-sharing apps and the omnipresent traffic jams in Chinese cities.

Again, Shanghai, when can we get one of these too?
