Introducing China's latest sharing startup: shareable luxury car
Over the past year, bike-sharing businesses have exploded in popularity across China, filling city streets with millions upon millions of dockless bicycles. But, while bikes may be a cheap and convenient way to get around town, what if you are looking for something a bit more stylish?
Catering to all the wannabe one percenters out there, a startup has just launched in Hangzhou offering 300 million yuan in shareable luxury automobiles.
According to the startup's founder, during the company's promotional period, users will be able to hop into a Nissan GT-R for just 19.9 yuan, and a Rolls-Royce for only 49.9 yuan.
Official price listings online show that you'll eventually have to pay between 300 to 600 yuan an hour to drive these luxury automobiles around hellish downtown Hangzhou. Meanwhile, 60 minutes in a McLaren P1 is gonna cost you 15,000 yuan.

We'll have to wait and see if this latest strand of the sharing economy will be able to outlast other similar schemes with somewhat questionable business plans, like those offering shareable stools, napping pods or umbrellas. Hopefully, they at least remembered to install the GPS tracking.
