8月17日，宝安区海旺学校八年级学生徐悠游在上海举行的第9届“外教社杯”全国中学生英语能力大赛中脱颖而出，荣获初中组一等奖第一名，许东云老师荣获优秀指导老师奖。

“外教社杯”全国中学生英语能力大赛由上海外语教育出版社主办，上海外国语大学和中国教育学会外语教学专业委员会担任学术指导，至今已成功举办九届，已成为我国规模最大的公益性中学外语竞赛之一。
大赛历时近八个月
来自全国17大赛区数十万学生
经过层层选拔
只有46位高、初中选手
进入总决赛
宝安学子徐悠游
更是以深圳赛区特等奖第一名的成绩
代表广东省进入全国总决赛

初中组选手的演讲主题为：

从“共享单车”“共享经济”“一带一路”
“赠人玫瑰，手有余香”“独乐乐，与人乐乐，孰乐？”
到比尔·盖茨、扎克伯格、爱迪生、居里夫人、梵高…....
稚气的脸庞却对”分享”一词却有着独到的理解

每一次小小成功的背后，总是蕴藏着无数的汗水！
就在参加决赛前几天，徐悠游突然感冒发烧，一直靠吃药压着。
指导老师许东云说，即使这样，徐悠游依然坚持一遍一遍的练习，即使在车上、等飞机的途中他依然坚持阅读。
就在这样重感冒的情况下，徐悠游仍然取得了三个一等奖中第一名的好成绩。
徐悠游说发烧并没有影响到他的发挥，只是感冒有鼻音会影响英语发音。
不过面对什么样的意外，徐悠游都能镇定自若的面对，这与他平日里深厚的积累、学校家庭的教育是密不可分的。
对于让很多中国孩子头疼的英语，
徐悠游竟能掌握的如此扎实，其中到底有什么秘诀呢？
悠游同学说： 学英语不能只停留在中国思维里，要有国际化的视野和思考方式；多接触一些外国的一些新闻、或者接触外国的一些娱乐圈，努力把英语思维锻炼成外国思维！
小编说：英剧美剧刷起来！英文歌曲听起来！外文图书读起来！
悠游推荐：英剧《唐顿庄园》、《神探夏洛克》
徐悠游指导老师许老师说：在悠游身上看到学习英语最可贵的品质就是坚持和惜时！坚持听说和阅读英语的好习惯；他也很会合理安排学习，学会利用零碎时间。
悠游也说：兴趣只能支撑英语前期学习，因为英语会有稍微繁琐一点的内容，那么后面的学习比较需要毅力和坚持才能把学的好。
老师推荐阅读材料：《书虫》系列，《黑猫》，英文原版小说，21世纪新闻等。

The importance of sharing

Can everyone see this glass of water in my hand? Now, let’s assume that (一位评委) and I are both thirsty and want to drink it. If I drink the water, I won’t be thirsty. If I give the water to her, I will be thirsty.
However, if (-) and I share the water with these two straws in my hand, neither of us will be thirsty anymore. Additionally, we’ll enjoy the joy of sharing.
It’s obvious that the third solution is the best.
I didn’t realize the importance of sharing until a month ago. I went to Lipscomb Academy in Nashville as an exchange student. In my first lesson, I met a boy called Thomas. As a greeting, I tried smiling at him to show my geniality, but he seemed to deliberately ignored me and sat down without even glancing at me, then stared at the board apathetically. Just when I began feeling grumpy, the class started.
Unexpectedly, I was asked to read the first paragraph of the textbook. But, when I reached for my book, it had disappeared! Shock and embarrassment rushed from my veins, and I stood there petrified.
What’s worse, nearly everyone could see I didn’t have a book at hand! Just then, someone patted my shoulder before I felt disillusioned. I then noticed a book being pushed towards me. It was Thomas that gave his book to me!
Amazedly, I sent him a grateful smile, which was answered by a much gentler one. I read well, in fact so well that I got an enormous round of applause. In delight and appreciation, I thought, if it wasn’t his kindness, I’d never receive that applause. Hence, for the first time, I perceived that sharing was not only giving our things to someone else, but a way of showing unselfish benevolence and kindness.
Since then, Thomas’s sharing changed everything. After that, I finally integrated into the local community. With Thomas, a brilliant guide, I toured around the music city Nashville while learning its history and culture.
Thomas shared a lot about country music, which has become my favorite music, while I also shared the most fascinating things about Chinese culture with Thomas, which made him decide to come to China in this winter holiday.
So what’s the importance of sharing?
To me, sharing made two strangers, who didn’t speak the identical language, eventually became good friends.
Moreover, sharing is the bridge that connects the world. As we are willing to share our life, technologies, ideas, inventions but most essentially, friendship and courtesy, with others, our lives and cultures interflows and improves.
So why not share? As I am sharing my experience with you, you can all start to share a little love with the world from now on.
