[REWIND] A Year of Unforgettable Events

2016-08-02 YCISBeijing

The 2015 – 2016 academic year at Yew Chung International School of Beijing was jam-packed with exciting events that were the talk of the Beijing community. Musicals, the Temple Fair, Spirit Week, Global Community Day, and our 20th Anniversary! In this week’s YCIS Beijing Rewind, we invite you to join us as we look back at some of the most memorable events that made this last year so special.

Back to the 80’s

Performing to a sold-out audience, YCIS Beijing drama students put on an unforgettable performance that had everyone singing along to the greatest pop hits of the 80’s. Head of Drama Daniel Pearton said of our students’ fantastic production: “The show itself was a huge success and highlighted the commitment and motivation of our students to make the show what it was. From the high energy dance routines to Jerry Cha performing as “Corey Jr.” belting out “Glory of Love”, the show kept the audience engaged and entertained from beginning to end.”

House Colours Fly during Spirit Week

During the final week of the 2015 – 2016 academic year, students from all Primary School year levels donned their house colours and competed against each other to compete for the coveted prize of Most Spirited House! It was a week of celebration, congratulating each and every student not only on their commitment to their studies but also their personal growth and transformation during the academic year.
