YCIS Beijing Scorpions Serve up a Set of Wins!

The interschool sports season has begun again, and Yew Chung International School of Beijing’s Volleyball teams have been blowing away their competition with numerous wins at home and away!

The Boys Under 19 team were first up, competing at the Beijing Challenge Volleyball Tournament. The tournament saw our young Scorpions face off against 6 other international schools. In the first three games against the Canadian International School of Beijing, International School of Beijing and the Western Academy of Beijing the boys walked away with undisputed wins. They were, however, unfortunately knocked out in their final round leaving the tournament with a second place trophy. Despite not bringing home first place, we couldn’t be prouder of our team, and look forward to the rematch this September 19 on our home turf at YCIS Beijing.

The girl’s senior team also played a series of inspired games this week facing off back to back against Dulwich College Beijing and Tsinghua International School. The girls fought hard and took consecutive wins showing the other schools what YCIS Beijing is made of!

The YCIS Beijing Scorpions are off to a fantastic start to this year’s sporting seasons. We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming games!
