In our summer WeChat series Year in Review, parents, students, and Beijing community members alike have the chance to revisit some of our favourite and most memorable events from the past year in pictures.

暑假期间，我们将推出“耀中聚焦”系列的微信文章，家长、学生以及北京社区的成员都能从照片中重温昔日的令人难忘的活动。

This week, our focus turns to the Yew Chung Education Foundation Learning Community Summit held last March at YCIS Beijing.   

本周，我们将聚焦三月份在我校举办的耀中教育机构学习社区峰会。

Senior leadership, administrators, and faculty from across the global YCEF school network joined in Beijing to gain a greater understanding of how Learning Communities function, as well as specific examples of the creative stimulation that a non-traditional Learning Community environment affords students.

来自耀中教育机构全球各地的高层领导、行政人员及教师共聚一堂，一起学习新兴的学习社区是如何运作，以及这个创新的理念的实例——这是新兴的学习社区给学生带来的好处。

We were delighted and honoured to have Dr Betty Chan, Director of the Yew Chung Education Foundation, speak to the attendees.  In the video above, Dr Chan explains why YCIS has embraced the role as an industry leader in implementing the Learning Community model, remarking that in a quickly evolving and challenging world, creativity and flexibility will be major contributors to students’ success – skills which the Learning Community model helps cultivate.
