First, listen to the dialogue twice, then try to answer the questions after the dialogue.
首先,听两遍小对话,然后试着回答对话后的问题。
A: Hey Tommy, got any tips on how to spice up a presentation? I feel like my speeches are a little bit dry.
B: Well, always open up with an ice-breaker, like telling a joke at your expense.
A: So, be a little self-deprecating?
B: Yeah, it's a good way to get emotional response out of the audiences.
A: What if it doesn't work?
B: Take it easy. Even if it flops, just accept it and carry on, like "Alright guys, I know it's a bad joke. Let's just move on."
A: I see. Just don't leave an awkward silence.
B: Indeed. And you can also tell a story that taught you a lesson, or just quote something interesting from your reading.
A: Oh, I guess I can find something that relates to everyone.
B: That's right. And lastly, be confident. Don't be too serious about it.
A: Okay, Tommy. Thanks for all the tips.
