We are pleased to inform that an International Seminar will be held on the 7th Floor Conference Room of Library and Information Center at Zhejiang Normal University on this Wednesday, June 26th, 2019. The topic is on Global Governance: China-Africa Education Cooperation and People- to-People Exchanges. We will also establish the Research center for China-Africa Education Cooperation and lauch an Annual Report on China-South Africa People-to-People Exchanges. 中非教育合作研究中心简介
Research Center for China-Africa Education Cooperation （RCCAEC）
长久以来，中国与非洲在教育人文领域开展了形式多样和富有成效的交流与合作。随着中非战略伙伴关系的深化以及教育在社会经济发展中价值的日益凸显，新时期中非教育合作在更大范围、更广领域、更高层次上呈现出不同于过去的趋势与特征。中非教育合作研究中心将构建一个开放式、协同化的共享共建平台，努力打造成集学术研究、人才培养、国际交流、社会服务于一体的国家级智库和研究基地，进一步推动中非院校之间交流与合作，加强彼此间理解与友谊，建立基于相互尊重、平等伙伴关系基础上广泛的学术共同体。
本中心围绕着五个核心功能开展工作：科学研究、人才培养、人员交流、社会服务和资料收集。在中非合作关系宏观背景下，主动对接国家战略需求，推动中非政策对话，服务中国与非洲国家的政策制定；与国内外学术同行联合开展有关非洲教育及中非教育合作的基础研究及应用对策研究；通过交流、短期培训，攻读硕士、博士学位等形式，培养了解中国教育发展经验的非洲人才及了解非洲教育问题的中国人才；基于非洲教育以及教育合作的研究，传播先进知识，提供咨询服务；利用与非洲院校的学术网络，推动中非院校合作、学者交流、学生互换、志愿者选派等国际教育合作项目；建设完备的非洲教育资料库和信息平台，方便学习、研究和交流。
中非教育合作研究中心将秉持相互促进、共同发展、互鉴共赢的理念，与非洲院校、国际组织及世界其他地区院校共同合作，为推动2030教育可持续发展目标及非洲2063议程的实现做出贡献。
Overthe years, China and Africa have engaged in diverse and fruitful exchanges andcooperation in the field of education and People-to-People exchanges. With thedeepening of China-Africa strategic partnership and the increasing prominenceof the value of education in social and economic development, China-Africaeducation cooperation in the new era presents some different trends and featuresfrom the past in terms of scope, range and level.
TheResearch Center for China-Africa Education Cooperation will establish an openand collaborative platform co-construction and sharing, striving to become anational think tank and research base that integrates academic research, teaching,international exchanges and community service, further promoting the exchangesand cooperation between Chinese and African universities, strengthening mutualunderstanding and friendship, and building a broad academic community based onmutual respect and equal partnership.
TheCenter focuses on five core functions: academic research, training and teaching,personnel exchange, community service, and materials collection.
Inthe context of China-Africa relations, the Center will：
actively respond to nationalstrategic demands, promote China-Africa policy dialogue and serve in policy makingin China and African countries;
carry out basic researchand applied strategy research on African education and Sino-African educationcooperation in conjunction with academic institutions at home and abroad.
train African experts whounderstand China's educational development experiences and Chinese experts specializedin African education through short-term and long-term training programmes,including master's and doctoral degree programmes.
share advanced knowledgeand provide advisory service based on research and investigation.
develop internationaleducation cooperation activities, including cooperation between Chinese andAfrican institutions, scholar exchange, student mobility and volunteeringprojects.
build a comprehensiveAfrican education database and information platform tofacilitate learning, research and communication.
With the spirits of mutualpromotion, common development and win-win cooperation, the RCCAEC will workwith African institutions, international organizations and institutions in theother regions to contribute to the realization of the education goals on 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Africa's Agenda 2063.

刘鸿武教授，教育部长江学者特聘教授，浙江省特级专家，国务院特殊津贴获得者，浙江师范大学非洲研究院创始院长，国家社科基金学科规划评审组专家，出版专著20余部，发表学术论文100多篇。
Professor Liu Hongwu, Changjiang Scholar of Ministry of Education, Chief Expert of Zhejiang Province, recipient of State Council special allowance, National Social Science Foundation Discipline Planning Review Group expert. He is the Founder of the Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University. He has published more than 20 books as well as over100 academic articles.
牛长松博士，非洲研究院非洲教育所所长、硕士生导师，主要从事非洲教育、中非教育合作、教育援助、非洲教育与社会发展等领域研究，至今已有10多年非洲教育领域学术研究和调研经历。
Dr. Niu Changsong, Head of the Department of African Educational Studies in the IASZNU, master student supervisor. She is mainly engaged in research in the fields of African education, China-Africa education cooperation, education aid, and African education and social development. She has more than 10 years of academic study on African education and research experiences in many African countries.
李坤（Osidipe Adekunle）博士，尼日利亚藉，非洲研究院非洲教育所教师，教育学博士，研究领域为教育政策、教育与社会可持续发展、职业技术教育、中非教育合作关系等。
Dr. Osidipe Adekunle, Nigerian. He is a lecturer in the Department of African Educational Studies in the IASZNU. He has doctoral degree in education. His research fields include education policy, education and sustainable social development, Technical and Vocational and Education and Training (TVET), and China-Africa educational cooperation.
欧玉芳博士，非洲研究院非洲教育所教师，主要从事高等教育评价、中非高等教育合作以及对非政策评价研究，多次赴尼日利亚和南非开展实地调研与学术交流。
Dr. Ou Yufang, research fellow in the Department of African Educational Studies in the IASZNU. She is mainly engaged in research on higher education evaluation, China-Africa higher education cooperation and policy evaluation. She has conducted field researches and academic exchanges in Nigeria and South Africa many times.

About us
Established in 2007, the Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University, is the first comprehensive and substantive African Research Institute based in China’s universities. In the decade since its founding, the Institute has remained focused on both producing influential academic output, as well as cultivating scholars in African Studies from both China and Africa, gaining reputation as a highly influential academic institution both at home and abroad. At the onset of its second decade, the Institute of African Studies intends to move towards a more regionalized, nationalized, distinctive and internationally oriented direction in its research. At the same time, the institute will continue to encourage young and upcoming scholars to conduct research, and provide them with the necessary support.

L’IASZNU a été fondée en Septembre 2007 sous les auspices du Ministère de l’Éducation (MOE) et le Ministère des Affaires Étrangères (MFA). Parmi les Universités chinoises, c’est le premier Institut complet créé spécialement pour les études africaines. Après plus de 10 années de développement, l’IASZNU est devenue un Institut d’études et un Think Tanks très influent sur les affaires africaines en Chine qui possède un « Savant du Chang Jiang » des études africaines. Il est le Think Tanks chinois sur le « Plan Think Tanks du Partenariat Chine-Afrique 10 + 10 » et un des établissements guides sur le « Plan de Recherche Conjointe et d’Echange Chine-Afrique » du Ministère des Affaires Étrangères. Il est sélectionné par le Ministère de l’Éducation pour « La Coopération Universitaire Chine-Afrique 20+20 », en tant que base principale pour des études du continent et des études spécifiques de pays. Il est également sélectionné par la Province du Zhejiang comme le Centre d’Innovation Collaborative 2011, la base de recherche de la Philosophie et des Sciences Sociales dans la province de Zhejiang. L’IASZNU a été classé parmi les meilleurs Think Tanks (affiliés à une Université) au monde pendant deux années consécutives, en 2016 et en 2017, par le Global Think Tanks Index publié annuellement par la Pennsylvanie Université. En 2018, l’Institut a été classé comme l’un des meilleurs Think Tanks affilié à une université en Chine avec le classement A + du système de classement chinois (CTTI).
