上周（由于一些显著原因）简直是一团乱——我很震惊上周的演出居然照常办了；不过一切都值得。在最后一分钟顶上鸡毛信——新秀乐队无序的粘土优雅地填补空缺，结果相当惊喜；这仅仅是他们的第二次现场演出，但他们展现出无穷潜力：后朋克与质朴的另类摇滚相结合，每一首歌都爆发出血液般的活力……绝对是2023年值得关注的一支乐队。经过长时间的休整，子路的8.0版本来了，他们的声音从未如此之好。虽然乐队一直掌握融合喜剧和摇滚乐的诀窍——但这回他们听起来比以往更精干、更均衡了。尽管充斥着疯狂，他们的一些曲目却具有一种旋律性的厚重感，诸如一些能填满竞技场那样狂飙的副歌。最后，暴力香槟，这个来自石家庄的非主流低保真独立乐队，给予了我今年最纯粹和最超现实的演出体验之一。他们华丽的首张专辑在盯鞋、噪音流行和充满合成器的卧室流行间找到了舒适结合，但他们的现场表演却又将这一切全部剥离开来——赋予他们的音乐一种乡土朋克的精神，感觉既粗野又温馨。凭借他们独特的、奇怪而美丽的歌词，他们的表演握有一种非常特别的基调——超现实的、诚实的，甚至有点叛逆的基调。再次感谢乐队、歌迷、场地和其他所有前来支持的人。这个月在育音堂还有两场演出喔！
Last week was a mess - between narrowly escaping a red note fiasco to dreary weather and a shake-up in policy across the country that left an air of uncertainty - I’m shocked last week’s show actually happened. But it was worth it!
Replacing Jimaoxin last minute, up and comers Disordered Clay gracefully filled in. And what a surprise. This was only their second live show ever but holy shit do they show potential. Post punk with a rustic alt rock through-line, the young band has clearly been refining their set for some time - with each track exploding with red-bloodied vitality. Best yet, their frontman has that wildly wiry magnetism that the music deserves, fidgeting and throwing his arms around himself with manic glee. Definitely a band to keep your eyes peeled for in 2023.
After a long hiatus, version 8.0 of Zilu is here and they’re not fucking around. While the band has always had a knack for blending comedy and rock and roll, throwing listeners into their twisted swirl of punk, Chinese pop, ska and ballad tomfoolery - they have never sounded leaner or meaner. For all its madcap glory, there’s a melodic heft to some of their tracks - complete with soaring choruses that could fill out an arena. They’re a one-of-a-kind band that will leave your head spinning.
Police and Pea - the offbeat lo-fi indie outfit from Shijiazhuang and led by Ji Ziyuan and Ding Xiaolong are an eccentric DIY coup de grace that only comes once in a blue moon. While their magnificent debut release hits that sweet spot between shoegaze, noise pop, and synth-filled bedroom pop - their live set strips it all down - giving their music a folksy punk spirit that feels both ramshackle and homey. And very much like their lyrics, which waltz indifferently between kitsch and grace, between the mundane and the spiritual - it strikes a very specific tone - one that’s surreal, honest and yes a bit rebellious. They’re a cult band in the making - one of the purest acts of music-making out there.
