What an action-packed and dramatic spectacle we have experienced over these past two Creative Arts days in DUCKS.
Each class, from Early Learning 1 to Year 2, have been immersed in a form of performance art. The children chose a different country to explore and celebrated that culture through music, dance, song, theatre and drama. We have heard a variety of different stories told through dramatic story-telling with exciting props and costume. We have learned new songs and dances, with the children enjoying being both the performing and the spectators.
The children were also treated to several fantastic performances throughout the two days which they throughly enjoyed. We had classical singing, Taiko drumming, musicians performing live and a magician's act. We would like to extend our thanks to the teachers, parents and students for their enthusiastic and fabulous performances.
During our assembly today we got to celebrate all the music and drama we have enjoyed the last two days. It was wonderful to see all the children so engaged and excited throughout the week, as they tried many 'new things'!
