Dulwich International Old Allyenian plays at NCAA China Game
Last academic year, James Zhao, Dulwich College Beijing Class of 2018, was the first Dulwich College International athlete to sign a Division 1 basketball scholarship when he formally committed to UC Berkeley. This means that James is competing at the highest possible level worldwide for university sport.
This year, we have the great fortune to have James returning to China next month to compete in the 2018 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) China Game, which only takes place once a year. There are only two teams out of 351 NCAA Division 1 basketball teams travelling to China to compete annually, which made the possibility of this encounter almost impossible to have, and the odd is in our favour!
As part of the Dulwich community, we would like to encourage you to support our returning International Old Alleynian in the stadium on 10 November 2018 and cheer for our Dulwich alumnus, James Zhao. He should feel the support of Dulwich College International's “One College, Many Campuses” during his first return to China and be proud of our global network and community!
Cal officially tips off the season from Shanghai, China, in the annual Pac-12 China game. The Golden Bears face the Yale Bulldogs in Baoshan Arena on 10 November at noon in Shanghai.
