Hi, I'm Mr.Wong. There was an unpleasent odor in my apartment a couple days ago, I wasn't sure what it was but it kinda smelt like gas, so I called the city to have them checked for any gas leakage. Turns out it was a leak, but luckily enough, it was the gas pipe underground, so the sand soaked it up. They had to shut off the gas because... well it's a gas leakage, why wouldn't they right ? They told me I had to get a plumber to do the repairs for the pipes. To make things worse, the city requires a permit for us to do so. It was actually the plumber's job to get the permit, but he doesn't know how. So tough luck for me, I e-mailed my applications about 5-6 times, but never recieved a response from them. So I drove down to the city and waited 3 hours in line. When it was my turn, they told me the application wasn't complete, and that I needed my plumber's licence number, address, phone number, signature and so on. It was such a hassle…… Okay, I could go on and on about this but long story short. In the end, I got the permit. The repairs were done. We passed the inspection, and now I have access to hot water and my stove. Mr.Wong lived happily ever after, the end. And.......... the phrase of the day is "long story short". Check it out !
