The intro
(Listening Comprehension)
Yo, whats up? It's Mr.Wong here. Today's word of the day is "steep". I'm sure that some of you might already know what it means, it's like a road, a hill etc. that is sharply angled.
You often hear "steep" used as an adjective to describe cliffs, hills, or even water park slides that have a perilous slope. Steep also means "to soak in," as in steeping a tea bag in boiling water. But those aren't the "steeps" I'm referring to today. I'm talking about the steep as in HOLY CRAP THAT'S EXPENSIVE! Yup, we're talking about steep prices, charges etc. that are unusually expensive. Hey, I use this word all the time because I'm poor as fxxk! Haha, let's check it out!
