前言

Preface

深圳是依托中国改革开放伟大战略发展起来的新兴城市。在改革开放之初，深圳展览馆（深圳美术馆前身）是文化传播的窗口。深圳展览馆沐浴着改革开放的春风，享有经济特区的政策支持，凭借毗邻港澳的地理优势，成为中国美术界链接海外的桥梁。有赖于当时全国各地书画名家的支持和参与，深圳展览馆在商业经营性质的文化产业方面进行了开拓性的实践和探索，在中国艺术市场的起步阶段做出了一系列成果，带动了区域内产业的发展。深圳展览馆也由此形成了展览、经营、收藏良性循环、相互促进的办馆体系。

Shenzhen, an emerging city, has flourished under China's reform and opening-up policy. In its early stages, the Shenzhen Exhibition Hall (predecessor to the Shenzhen Art Museum) was a cultural gateway. Embracing the era's reforms, it benefited from special economic zone policies and its proximity to Hong Kong and Macao, connecting the Chinese art community internationally. Relying on the support and participation of renowned calligraphy and painting masters nationwide during that period, the Shenzhen Exhibition Hall embarked on pioneering practices and explorations within the commercial realm of the cultural industry. It achieved a series of milestones during the nascent phase of the Chinese art market, catalyzing the growth of the regional industry. Consequently, the Shenzhen Exhibition Hall established a self-reinforcing system where exhibitions, operations, and collections mutually enhance each other, fostering a dynamic and sustainable museum ecosystem.

近半个世纪以来，深圳美术馆与全国艺术名家建立了深情厚谊。在大量的馆藏书画作品中，艺术家将深圳美术馆题写为上款：“深圳展览馆存念”“深圳美术馆惠存”“题赠深圳美术馆”……这些作品及其题款不仅是全国艺术名家支持深圳美术事业发展的见证，也反映了深圳美术馆作为改革开放文化窗口的社会影响力。放眼全国，鲜有美术馆、博物馆获赠数量如此之多的名家题写上款作品。本着藏品活化的宗旨，以弘扬时代精神、讲好深圳故事为目标，深圳美术馆基于自身馆藏特色以及这些作品的学术价值与社会价值，于2024年隆重推出“存念留真——深圳美术馆上款馆藏名家作品展”。

Over the past half-century, Shenzhen Art Museum has cultivated profound friendships with esteemed artists across the nation. In a large number of calligraphy and painting works in the collection, the artists wrote dedicatory inscriptions to SZAM, such as "In Memory of Shenzhen Exhibition Hall," "A Keepsake for Shenzhen Art Museum," and "Bestowed upon Shenzhen Art Museum." These pieces and their dedications stand as a testament to the nationwide support for Shenzhen's artistic endeavors and underscore the museum's significant social impact as a cultural gateway of reform and opening up. Across the nation, few art museums or institutions can claim to have received such an extensive collection of works bearing dedicatory inscriptions from celebrated artists. With a commitment to the dynamic use of its collection, and with the aim of championing the spirit of the era and narrating the tales of Shenzhen, SZAM, leveraging its unique collection and the academic and societal worth of these works, proudly presents in 2024 the grand exhibition “Mementos: Masterpieces with Inscriptions Dedicated to Shenzhen Art Museum.” 

展览通过梳理精美的馆藏作品和照片、书信等丰富的文献资料，全面还原改革开放以来，深圳美术馆与全国画家密切联系、交往的盛况，回顾艺术家们支持特区文化建设的壮举，展现深圳自由、热情、充满创新力和吸引力的城市氛围。相信朋友们能在这个特别的展览中获益良多。

The exhibition meticulously curates the museum's exquisite collection of artworks, photographs, letters, and an array of archival materials, offering a comprehensive retrospective of the vibrant interactions and exchanges between SZAM and artists nationwide since the era of reform and opening up. It commemorates the pivotal role of these artists in bolstering the cultural fabric of the special economic zone, vividly portraying Shenzhen's spirit of freedom, its passionate embrace of innovation, and its magnetic allure. We are confident that visitors will find profound enrichment and inspiration through their engagement with this exceptional exhibition.
