白(Sound Blanc)是摩登天空旗下的音乐厂牌,致力于发展氛围音乐在中国的普及和发展。创办氛围音乐厂牌在中国现有的音乐领域填补空白,也是为了创造更多的艺术化的音乐作品,增强音乐在艺术领域的地位,并在发展过程中培养相应的听众群,创造高质量的音乐出版和演出机会,与别的艺术形式合作呈现多种形式高端化、多面化。


Sound Blanc is the music label of Modern Sky, dedicated to the development and popularity of ambient music in China. The ambient music label was created to fill a gap in the existing music scene in China, but also to create more artistic works of music, to strengthen the status of music in the art field, and in the process of development to cultivate a corresponding audience, to create high-quality music publishing and performance opportunities, and to collaborate with other art forms to present a variety of forms of high-end, multifaceted.

"White" will cover artist management / music production / functional music development / art performance presentation. 摩登天空旗下的氛围音乐厂牌「Sound Blanc 白」宣布了该厂牌的第四个出版 ——《无限宇宙》,至此,摩登天空唱片出版史上的第三百张唱片宣告诞生。


Sound Blanc White, Modern Sky's ambient music label, has announced the label's fourth release, Infinite Universe, making this the 300th release in the history of Modern Sky's record publishing.


自1997成立到如今的2020,摩登天空在这二十三年间发行的这三百张唱片,不仅 是一部丰富的音乐作品宝库,同时,这三百张唱片,也构成了一部微缩的国内独立音 乐发展史,这二十三年里,每一个年代的出版,都打上了它所处年代的烙印。


The 300 albums released by Modern Sky over the past 23 years from its founding in 1997 to 2020 are not only a treasure trove of music, but also a miniature history of the development of independent music in China, with each album released in these 23 years bearing the imprint of its era.





《摩登天空 | 無限宇宙 / 不思議な無数 COSMOS_Infinite Cosmos》(简称:无 限宇宙)是摩登天空旗下视觉创意厂牌MVM创作的系列作品。2018年摩登天空创立 的国内首个氛围音乐厂牌「Sound Blanc 白」,此次,白厂牌与MVM强强联合,邀请 九位国内顶尖的电子音乐人Sulumi / melts77 / Gao cong / Lanx / L+R feat.Yu miao&DJ Evilbee / Janjee Wang / mafmadmaf / Kai-Luen / HWA制作了这张「无限宇宙II」的原声大 碟,将摩登天空的艺术审美首次进行了视觉和音乐的结合。九位音乐人根据无限宇宙 第二季的九个画面从不同的地球地理坐标发射信号,又从听觉上编织了一维新的宇宙。
Sound Blanc is the first Chinese ambient music label founded by Modern Sky in 2018, and this time, the white label and MVM are working together. The album was produced by Sulumi / melts77 / Gao cong / Lanx / L+R feat.Yu miao & DJ Evilbee / Janjee Wang / mafmadmaf / Kai-Luen / HWA and features nine of China's top electronic musicians. The Infinity Universe II soundtrack is the first visual and musical combination of the Modern Sky aesthetic. Based on the nine images from Infinity Universe II, the nine musicians transmit signals from different geographic coordinates of the Earth, and aurally weave a new dimension of the universe.

《Ambient Friday》是摩登天空氛围音乐厂牌Sound Blanc 白的系列线上音乐会项目, 在每周五通过线上演出直播和回放的方式让大家随时欣赏和感受氛围音乐。每期邀请来自全中国各个城 市的氛围音乐人表演他们的硬件合成器或者模块合成器氛围音乐Live,在每周五通过B站Sound Blanc账户直播的形式呈现给大家,之后在B站和海外的Youtube频道都可以观看回放。


 Ambient Friday is the online concert series of Modern Sky's ambient music label Sound Blanc, which allows people to enjoy and experience ambient music through live and playback online. Each installment invites ambient musicians from various cities in China to perform their hardware synthesizer or modular synthesizer ambient music Live, which is broadcast live on B station every Friday, and can be watched on B station and overseas Youtube channels afterwards.)

这个是2020年10月17日在北京的aotuspace进行的一场名为《氛围·关系》的氛围音 乐演出。这是演出第二段的录音。由音乐人L+R王璐、wenliang、Demone 、 DJ Evilbee、Dawei和夏冬来共同完成的。
This is an ambient performance of Atmosphere - Relationships at the aotuspace in Beijing on October 17, 2020. This is the second recording of the show. It was recorded by L+R Wang Lu, wenliang, Demone, DJ Evilbee, Dawei and Xia Donglai.
悠扬、静谧、幽深、神秘,在这场氛围之旅中有太多的词来形容每一分钟的感 受。原声乐器与合成器浑然天成的结合,得益于音乐人们在这场Live中神奇的合作。静谧的手碟回响与合成器音色缓慢打开这一场探索旅程的开幕,带有神秘、⺠族色彩 的旋律让人陷入于巨大的声场之中。非常值得注意的是黑胶的Scratch音色,重新演绎了固有认知中的音乐⻆色,DJ Evilbee的采样运用让整段音乐有了不一样的化学反应。渐入的合成器音色仿佛将环境带入深海,与轻巧玲珑的Bell(铃铛)音色相互衬托,再次让听众陷入无限遐想。在夏冬的背景人声中,回荡着的是故事感与人性。最为惊喜 是来自于最后的小提琴采样,直接将整体叙事感,情绪感带入顶端。在六位音乐人、 制作人的Live中,一系列对音乐本质的理解表现的栩栩如生.
Melodious, serene, deep, mysterious, there are too many words to describe every minute of this atmospheric journey. The combination of acoustic instruments and synthesizers is the result of a magical collaboration between the musicians in this live show. The quiet reverberations of the manual and synthesizer sounds slowly open this voyage of discovery, with mysterious, Latin melodies that plunge you into a vast soundscape. The Scratch sound on the vinyl is notable for its reinterpretation of the perceived musical colors, while DJ Evilbee's use of samples creates a different chemistry throughout the track. The progressive synthesizer tone seems to bring the environment into the depths of the ocean, which is complemented by the light and delicate Bell tone, once again leaving the listener in a state of fantasy. In the background vocals of the summer and winter, a sense of storytelling and humanity reverberates. The biggest surprise comes from the final violin sample, which brings the overall narrative and emotion right to the top. In the live performance by the six musicians and producers, a series of insights into the nature of music are brought to life.

SOTI: 关于氛围音乐,Sound Blanc想要表达其价值与气质是什么?


What are the values and qualities that Sound Blanc wants to express about ambient music?



Sound Blanc: 随着人对文化与艺术的欣赏要求,人们对音乐的需求从简单到多样、从具象到抽象。在这种需求中氛围音乐具有最佳表现力。摩登天空创建Sound Blanc这个厂牌是想把氛围音乐最本源的内容准确无误地传达给所有人,以一种温和的气质将氛围音乐本身的美传达给听众。其次就学术范围而言,氛围音乐对于听众的理解力存在一定考验,我们不能以一种非常平淡或类似国外比较实验的状态去表达音乐,也就是说采取一种比较符合咱们中国普罗大众能够接受的姿态来表达音乐的气质。


The demand for music ranges from the simple to the diverse, from the figurative to the abstract, as people's appreciation of culture and art demands. It is in this demand that ambient music is most expressive. Modern Sky created the Sound Blanc label to convey the essence of ambient music to everyone, and to convey the beauty of ambient music itself to the listener in a gentle manner. SOTI: 从“清醒梦”系列活动到“Ambient Friday”系列线上直播,Sound Blanc在不断地音乐普及以及氛围感染,这一场治愈之旅中,作为主办,你们收获的幸福感是什么?


From the Lucid Dreams series of events to the Ambient Friday series of live online broadcasts, Sound Blanc has continued to grow in popularity and ambience?



Sound Blanc: 我们厂牌创立的这两年进行了非常多线上与线下的演出,其实每次演出都是勇敢的尝试,因为在中国是没有先例的。在这个过程中,我们收获了经验,也得到了很多听众的认可与支持,并且发现氛围音乐的听众年龄层非常广,我们最初认为听众年龄会偏大,但在“清醒梦”活动中我们发现了非常多年轻的听众;再有,今年最大的收获就是“Ambient Friday"这一线上直播系列,因为大家没办法逃避疫情这一现实,生活难免受到影响,但“Ambient Friday"让大家在身处天南海北,但身处互联网的状态下云聚集在了一起。从音乐人层面来看,这个直播活动对他们技术层面与想法层面的音乐内容和音乐思考力有一定的锻炼与提高的作用,因为我们可以看见音乐人跳出自己的舒适圈去学习和创作新的内容,保持自己的音乐状态。这个是我觉得今年收获的最大幸福感,真真切切挖掘和培养了很多音乐人,培养他们正向进行自己的音乐职业发展。


We have played a lot of online and offline gigs in the past two years since our label was founded, but each gig was a brave attempt because there was no precedent in China. In the process, we have gained experience and gained a lot of recognition and support from the audience, and we have found that the audience for ambient music is very diverse, we initially thought that the audience would be older, but we found a lot of young listeners at the "Lucid Dream" event. "Ambient Friday is a live online series because there's no escaping the reality of the epidemic and it's affecting people's lives, but Ambient Friday brings people together in a world where they're in the middle of nowhere, but on the internet. From a musician's point of view, this live event has helped them to improve their technical and ideological music content and musical thinking, as we can see musicians stepping out of their comfort zone to learn and create new content and maintain their own musical state. This is the biggest happiness I feel I have gained this year, really discovering and nurturing a lot of musicians and training them to be positive in their own musical career development.







SOTI: 当代氛围音乐在通过不同手段、形式来进行表达的同时,在Sound Blanc看来是否是科技、音乐理解、又或者是其他更艺术化、抽象化概念、的结合体现?


While contemporary ambient music is expressed through different means and forms, does Sound Blanc see it as a combination of technology, musical understanding, or other more artistic and abstract concepts?



Sound Blanc: 在接受今天的采访之前,我收到摩登天空德国发来的Live视频,一位用风琴来演奏氛围音乐的德国艺术家Jan Weigel将要加入“Ambient Friday”活动,Jan Weigel的高质量音乐水平也是让我们能够开始与国际上的音乐人对话了。其实我觉得氛围音乐最初是用传统乐器进行表达的,就像刚提到的Jan Weigel,他用的是传统乐器,但演奏出了现代气息,并且是符合当下审美的抽象化表达。我觉得近些年来氛围音乐越来越被大众所接受,也是因为以前没有科技手段,而现在有效果器等软件、硬件,科技手段降低了音乐学习的门槛。从大环境来说,音乐出现融合,人们也趋向于音乐的多样化鉴别,氛围音乐也是这种变化。其实音乐从常规到复杂的这个过程,氛围音乐也随之而变,也许这种变化你没有及时察觉,但当你回头再看的时候会发现,其实变化还是挺大的。


Prior to today's interview, I received a live video from Modern Sky Germany where Jan Weigel, a German artist who plays ambient music on the organ, will be joining Ambient Friday. It's starting a dialogue with international musicians. In fact, I think ambient music was originally expressed using traditional instruments, like Jan Weigel, who was just mentioned, but played with a modern flavor and was an abstracted expression that fit the current aesthetic. I think that ambient music has become more and more accepted by the public in recent years, also because there were no technological means before, but now there are effects and other software and hardware, and technological means have lowered the threshold for learning music. In terms of the environment, there is a convergence of music, and people tend to identify the diversity of music, and ambient music is also such a change. In fact, the process of music from conventional to complex, ambient music also changes, maybe you did not notice this change in time, but when you look back, you will find that the change is actually quite big.

SOTI: 在Sound Blanc多次音乐演出中,我们从像www(汪文伟)、L+R王璐等音乐人中听到了大量传统元素。在传统元素与当代元素的结合中,国内氛围音乐人是以怎么样的一个思路去体现的?

In Sound Blanc's many musical performances, we've heard a lot of traditional elements from musicians like www (Wang Wenwei) and L+R Wang Lu. What is the approach of Chinese ambient musicians to the combination of traditional and contemporary elements?



Sound Blanc: 在我们合作中演奏传统乐器的音乐人其实很多,他们在与我的沟通中表达了一种坚决的态度,就是走出东方以及西方乐器一些传统思维的影响。大家可能普遍认为音乐里要有传统的因素和现代的东西结合,但我们不是以一种生拼硬凑的方式进行结合,而是找寻一种更合适的方式。比如说古筝音乐人于淼,她一直在做减法,没有生硬地将高山流水的演奏方式带入氛围音乐中,而是以另一种方式呈现,类似于古筝与效果器结合这样的方式。所以我觉得大家都在找寻突破,通过长时间的练习找寻更高级的音乐形态并且推动音乐观念的升级,他们的呈现会让人觉得传统与现代的结合是非常高级且具有控制力的。如果说缺乏控制力的话,音乐的呈现会非常格式化。他们作为艺术工作者如果想要快速提升大众认知,也可以采取简单粗暴的方式,好比往商业音乐中加入传统元素,大众可能可以听懂,但这对艺术工作者来说是难以接受的,这是对他们艺术探索的一种贬低。


There are a lot of musicians who play traditional instruments in our collaborations, and they have expressed to me their determination to get out of the influence of traditional thinking on Eastern and Western instruments. People may think that we should combine traditional elements and modern things in music, but we don't do it in a hard and fast way, we look for a more suitable way. For example, Yu Miao, a guzheng musician, has been subtracting from the traditional way of playing gaozheng and waterfall into her ambient music, but she is presenting it in a different way, like combining guzheng and effects. So I think everyone is looking for a breakthrough, to find a more advanced form of music through long hours of practice and to push the concept of music to the next level, and their presentation is a very advanced and controlled combination of tradition and modernity. The presentation of the music is very formatted, if not controlled. They as artists can also take the easy way out if they want to raise awareness quickly, like adding traditional elements to commercial music, which the public may understand, but which is unacceptable to artists and demeaning to their artistic exploration.

SOTI: Sound Blanc在氛围音乐、电子音乐场景下乃至于全球范围内的音乐场景的愿景是什么?

What is Sound Blanc's vision for the ambient music, electronic music scene and even the global music scene?



 Sound Blanc: 当下的愿景其实就是希望更多的人能够有机会去听到氛围音乐,接触它们。当下可以选择的音乐太多了,很多人可能觉得氛围音乐不是我该听的音乐,但我们还是希望通过努力让氛围音乐成为更大众化的存在,与大众对话、交流。同时也希望这样的音乐场景越来越多,甚至走出类似于美术馆这样“高大上”的场景,深入人群。曾经有人问我最想去哪演出,我回答是菜市场,也就是说在非常热闹的场景中进行氛围音乐演出,让氛围音乐与现实产生巨大的反差,让场景中的人摒弃陌生感,然后发自内心察觉这种音乐的美,让这种美留在大众的听觉当中。从2015 年开始,我对电子舞曲以及合成器等进行了很多研究。但2018年开始,我将更多的精力转向了氛围音乐,我体会到了更多更深层次的内容与思考,也感觉到这种新的音乐类型在中国的推广。同时,很多音乐人对氛围音乐寄予了厚望,我也很享受现在的工作,享受和氛围音乐人们一起工作的细致点滴与状态。我们摩登天空2020最后将出版的一张氛围音乐合辑就叫“Ambient Friday”,我们会把这一年激情演出中最满意的部分重新编辑和录音。我们也非常感谢这个特别的年代,也希望用这张唱片来纪念这个特殊的时间。


 The vision of the moment is really for more people to have the opportunity to hear ambient music and be exposed to them. There are so many choices of music nowadays, many people may think that ambient music is not the right music for me, but we still hope to make ambient music a more popular existence, to have a dialogue and communication with the public. At the same time, we also hope that the ambient music scene will become more and more popular, and even go beyond the "highbrow" scenes like art museums to reach out to the public. Someone once asked me where I would most like to perform, and I answered the market, which means performing ambient music in a very crowded scene, so that there is a huge contrast between ambient music and reality, so that people in the scene will not feel unfamiliar, and then realize the beauty of the music from their heart, and let this beauty remain in the public's hearing. Since 2015, I have been doing a lot of research into electronic dance music as well as synthesizers. But since 2018, I have turned more of my energy to ambient music, and I have experienced more and deeper content and thinking, and I feel the promotion of this new music genre in China. At the same time, a lot of musicians have high hopes for ambient music, and I'm enjoying my current job, and I'm enjoying working with ambient musicians in detail. The last ambient compilation we're releasing for Modern Sky 2020 is called Ambient Friday, and we'll be re-editing and re-recording some of the most satisfying parts of the year's passionate performances. We're also very grateful for this special time and want to commemorate it with this record.
