什么样的人就看到什么样的东西

The things we perceive

determine the type of person

we are.

内心充满欲望执着的人，

看什么都想拥有。

Whatever a person who has lots

of desire and self-grasping 

preceives/sees, he will want to 

gain possession of it.

对轮回产生厌倦的人，

看到什么都觉得无聊。

While a person who has arisen an

inner sense of renunciation

towards cyclic existence, will not

arise any interest in whatever

he perceives/sees.

一个内心得到净化的人，

所看到的都是佛菩萨。

A person with a pure mind will

perceive/see every being as the

Buddhas and bodhisattvas.

内心充满慈悲的人，

所看到的众生都是父母，

While a person who is very

loving and compassionate will

preceive/see every being as 

one's own parents.

你看我们怎么不感恩，

哪一个去拥护，哪个要舍弃？

你只好博爱平等对待之外

没有理由。

How can we not feel grateful to

all beings? and how can we

 choose to side and protect anyone,

or forsake anyone? Thus, you

have no reason not to 

extensively love and treat

 all beings equally.
